Gabbard nomination heads to the Senate floor

The director of national intelligence nominee cleared a major hurdle, but there are still a handful of GOP senators who could oppose her on the floor.

The Senate Intelligence Committee approved Tulsi Gabbard for director of national intelligence in a private vote Tuesday, sending her to the full Senate floor for consideration.

While the panel vote represented a major hurdle, her confirmation by the full Senate still isn’t certain. She can only afford to lose three Republican votes, if all Democrats vote against her, as expected.

Why will it be a closed-door vote and will the Yeah and Nay names be made public?

Paging JD Vance! You may need to make an appearance on the Senate floor soon.

ALL Democrats will vote against our people plus some RINO turds BUT when their leftist worthless people are up the Republicans are so accommodating. I don’t think the GOP really tried to stop any Biden appointments besides give a big talk.

It is my understanding that the vote totals are the only thing that will be released - no how each Senator voted.

I think that means it WAS a closed-door vote in committee. Should be public when the Senate votes.

I just listened to Senator Wyden’s questioning of Tulsi. This Democrat, if I heard him correctly, was challenging Tulsi to NOT allow the atrocities that the Dems did to Trump and to some on his team. Of course, she affirmed that she would not do those unethical and unconstitutional actions.

K$H is my favorite of the “troublesome three” nominees to get into Office.

I have been inundated with so much winning I haven't been following some things.

When is Kash's confirmation vote?

My recall is this committee generally does hold secret votes. This was not unusual.

And she may have gotten Dem votes so all the drama about max 3 GOP losses may not be valid.

Susan Collins is a pivotal vote as a Blue State GOP senator who is a woman. She dragged votes with her on Kavanaugh and may do the same for Gabbard.

It’s common in FR to hate her, but that should be put to bed and the ammo targeted where it belongs — on red state GOP senators who do not toe the line.

Senate Intelligence Committee

They probably talk about classified stuff. No reason why they couldn't release who voted which way.

If a Republican votes down a Democrat woman—the “media”:

-they all hate women!! See, they all want women barefoot and pregnant!

If a Democrat votes down a Republican woman —The “media”:

-she was a crazy radical J6, election denying dangerous MAGA!

The Senate seats that were stolen in Nevada and Arizona would have made a big difference

“...the ammo targeted where it belongs — on red state GOP senators who do not toe the line.”

It’s a target rich environment.

Deserves a broad spectrum ‘Rat and Assist.’Rat political career ending application of MAGA reality.

Tow them all over the line.

“Paging JD Vance! You may need to make an appearance on the Senate floor soon.”

...and bring paper and pencil to take note of any Republicans who vote no in case this is a closed vote.
