Vice President JD Vance was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo to discuss the recent aviation crash in DC, President Trump’s tariffs and foreign policy initiatives.
“There is a very direct connection between the policies of the last administration and short-staffed air traffic controllers. That has to stop,” Vance said.
“The President made very clear that he wasn’t blaming anybody, but he was being very explicit about the fact that DEI policies have led our air traffic controllers to be short-staffed. That is a scandal, thankfully it’s a scandal the President has stopped,” Vance continued.
“We are talking about 20-year-old traffic management systems, and they are responsible for detecting and managing landings at airports,” Bartiromo commented.
“If you look at these old, antiquated air traffic control systems it really does look like a video game that is 30 years old. We’ve got better software. We need a Federal Government that is more responsive to the technology that is out there,” Vance said.
Vice President Vance also commented on Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ statement about fighting President Trump’s agenda “in the streets.”
“For Hakeem Jeffries to go out and say that you need to fight in the streets, it’s dangerous, it’s disgraceful rhetoric,” Vance commented.
Bartiromo also asked Vance what his main role is in getting cabinet members confirmed.
“What role will you have specifically in that?” Bartiromo asked.
“I play the role that the President needs me to play, right, whether it’s casting the tie-breaking vote or maybe talking to some of my old Senate colleagues about the importance of voting on this nomination,” Vance said.
“I sort of see my job as an all-around player,” Vance continued.

Those 3000 people who applied for air traffic control jobs and were told they were “too white” should be getting their applications in, pronto.

Is this not inciting violence, like the 2020 “summer of love”? Does free speech allow one to yell “fire” in a crowded theater?
Vance is indeed great.
And the natural successor of Trump.
They’ve probably aged out. 31years old max.
No one was told they were ‘too white.’ About 1,000 are listed on a class action lawsuit because they didn’t pass the ‘biographic assessment,’ which their lawyers claim was biased against white people. Except that claim does not hold water because studies show ‘white males’ score better than any other group on that ‘biographic assessment,’ and the majority of ATCs are white men.
