Today, I have implemented a 25% Tariff on Imports from Mexico and Canada (10% on Canadian Energy), and a 10% additional Tariff on China.

This was done through the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) because of the major threat of illegal aliens and deadly drugs killing our Citizens, including fentanyl. We need to protect Americans, and it is my duty as President to ensure the safety of all. I made a promise on my Campaign to stop the flood of illegal aliens and drugs from pouring across our Borders, and Americans overwhelmingly voted in favor of it.

I think this is what we all dreamed about when we have our moments thinking what would I do if I were in charge.

Canada List Ping.

If you want on or off, please message me.

I plan on running this list through the Federal Election. If anyone is interested in taking over or helping out after the election, please Freepmail me.

Through the election I expect 5-10 pings per week—as there are a few articles worth noting of late, the posting the first few days will be on the heavier side.

Perhaps the Mexican tariff might have instead set to be increased by 1% for each 10,000 fentanyl*~ killed Americans
(100,000 fentanyl*~ dead/year = 10% increase after a year)

I recommend against getting into a tariff war with Canada currently.

I’ll get my syrup from Vermont. Lumber? Will get from the Pacific Northwest. Claim land as a national park and start cutting down trees. Call it conservation to prevent future forest fires and global warming. Oil? Welcome to beautiful North Dakota. Maybe we just build Keystone starting in North Dakota. Hockey players? Yeah, that is about it.

“Se estima que anualmente hay alrededor de 3 millones de entradas ilegales en los Estados Unidos: la mayoría de los migrantes entran clandestinamente en camiones que pasan la frontera, si bien se han observado casos en que los viajes se han hecho a pie, por ferrocarril o incluso por túneles especiales.”

https://www.unodc.org/toc/es/crimes/migrant-smuggling.html

The UN estimated about three million a year were (and still might be) coming across, mainly in trucks.

I saw that Jensen Huang of Nvidia met with Trump recently. Hopefully, they discussed a plan to expand advanced chip manufacturing in the U.S. rather than resorting to high tariffs on Taiwanese chips right away.

The priority should be gradually incentivizing domestic chip production—these plants take time to build, and we don’t want to cripple the AI chip industry in the meantime. AI chip fabs are highly complex projects that require extensive planning, development, and significant workforce training.

Also forgot to add, their maple syrup is not even full Canadian, its made with US and Canadian ingredients, its like when you buy food and it will say on the back “Imported using foreign and domestic ingredients”

In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled Today, I have implemented a 25% Tariff on Imports from Mexico and Canada (10% on Canadian Energy), and a 10% additional Tariff on China., Arcadian Empire wrote:

Canada and Mexico are very different.

What's usually not talked about is Chinese soldiers at our Mexican border, and Chinese soldiers in locations in Canada like the Norad station north of New York. Canada and our press don't talk about it much, but there was released footage of grim, hostile Chinese soldiers 'processing' those Canadians returning to Canada via aircraft during the lockdowns. They were treating Canadians as criminals.

Then people walking across the Canadian border north of NY talked about meeting Chinese pilots (2017 or 2018). Those friendly pilots told them they were staying at the Norad base in Canada. Many of them - the earliest Chinese pilots arrived before the 2016 election and were told they were only going to be there a few months, but after the election they remained there for more than a year. ALl of them...waiting. Canada gave China the use of their Norad missile station.

Around that time there were photos of many Chinese troops walking along the side of a road in a Canadian island. Trudeau takes orders from China. When he chastised Xi for not speaking in correct 'woke' terms, Xi said something to him with a smile that froze Trudeau and he seemed to forget how to walk as he left, apparently, on an urgent basis, possibly looking for a restroom.

I think had Hillary won, those Chinese pilots would not be 'stuck' in Canada. When Biden was elected, he invited Chinese troops to provide 'peace keeping' at the capital. The threat is real, the MSM just has a blackout on it. That's why Trump is playing tough with Canada, while at the same time opening the idea of making Canada the 51st state (no Chinese troops allowed?).

USA is responsible for its borders and how it ‘welcomes’ aliens crossing illegally or those already here. Is china not more hostile than either neighbor?

I think that’s why Trump is increasing China’s tarrif (which is somthing between 25-40% depending on the item) an additional 10%. So “neighbors” are charged 25% and “enemies” are charged up to 50%.

Now if you buy something from Mexico or Canada you’ll know what the price went up. When you go buy gas or eggs and pay a lot more than 25% more than you did just a few years ago, you have no idea why.

Tell it to Trump. These aren’t permanent. Both countries will realize they are now to be held accountable for the miserable treatment they have given us over tariffs, duties, illegal drugs and illegal border crossers.

Once Canada and Mexico realize that tariffs are reciprocal and not controlling their side of the border will not be tolerated, you’ll be surprised how mutually beneficial the new arrangement will be for all three nations.
