Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will become the first world leader to visit the White House on Tuesday when he holds meetings with President Donald Trump.
A senior administration official confirmed the trip, but stressed that it was a 'working meeting' without the ceremony of an 'official visit.'
DailyMail.com understands that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is also due to visit in February, along with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is also expected soon.
Netanyahu's place at the top of the list lays down a marker for Trump's priorities in office, as he eyes the next step in a tricky negotiation between Hamas and Israel, and pushes for the reconstruction of Gaza.
The issue dominated his second week in office after he told reporters aboard Air Force One that he wanted Jordan and Egypt to take refugees from 'demolition zone' Gaza.
He also previewed his plans for a meeting telling reporters he expected Netanyahu in Washington 'in the not too distant future.'
In his invitation to the Israeli prime minister, Trump wrote: 'I look forward to discussing how we can bring peace to Israel and its neighbors, and efforts to counter our shared adversaries.'
Netanyahu has been a frequent guest of presidents of both parties.
He was last at the White House in July when he met President Joe Biden, and he addressed lawmakers at a joint session of Congress.
The order is a change from Trump's first time in office.
Then his first guest was Britain's Prime Minister Theresa May, whose Conservative Party is more closely aligned with Trump than Starmer's Labour Party.
Trump's allies have been irritated by past comments made by some of Starmer's office holders and by Lord Peter Mandelson, the incoming British ambassador.

After Netanyahu all the leaders will be kissing up and glad handing. Will be a new source of a Sgt.Pepper’s album cover-—or more likely We’re Only In It For the Money by Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention.
I wonder where The Daily Mail ever got the idea re-building Gaza was a priority.
Trump wants the Arabs to mange their own problems not try to make it ours
He should send Starmer to Biden’s house. Biden will think he’s still President and who gives a fxxk what Starmer has to say? Biden will call him Disraeli.
I get what Trump is trying to do but it's not something that'll happen.
Israel can force Gazans to leave the country.
Turkey should take them in.
Netanyahu is one bad ass mother.
At least as great a man as Trump, but maybe more so.
Credit where credit is due.
Sounds like Trump is trying to be balanced.
Heads of government of three nuclear powers.
First a Jewish country
Second a Muslim country
Third a Hindu country.
If the Pope had a nuke, he could be fourth as head of a Catholic country.
Then Putin as head of an EO country.
Second a Muslim country
Third a Hindu country.
Israel, the UK, India?
😉
Lol
“Peace” in the Middle East has been a pipe dream for about a thousand years........there’s a
huge price tag on “peace,” with the US taxpayer gamely trying to meet the latest “peace price.”
Netanyahu to Trump: “Can you top this?”
<><>During the 2024 election year, Biden blanketed Israel w/ $17.9 billion peace-keeping tax dollars in that one year alone, saying, “Nobody has done more for Israel than I have.”
<><>Since 1973, Israel has received more than $120 billion US tax dollars in
peace-filled MILITARY assistance alone, including “three special aid” peace packages.
<><>billions for signing the Israel-Egypt peace treaty
<><>billions for Israel’s withdrawal from the Sinai.
<><>billions for redeployment of Israeli forces
<><>rebuilding Israeli air bases in the Negev cost $5 billion.
Besides peace-making weaponry, Israel also receives peace-keeping economic and humanitarian foreign aid, which supports broad economic development and sociopolitical stability and can include peaceable non-military support related to the country’s pressing security needs.
