Been happening for a long time - both willingly and unwillingly (theft). The big multinational corporation hold no allegiance to the USA, only to big $$$.

A nice story to illustrate the maxim that a patent is not much more than a license to sue.

Bigger than Obama. Know who else was involved? Kissinger Associates:

“Associated organizations

Kissinger Associates has had strategic alliances with several firms, including:

APCO Worldwide,[8] (October 12, 2004)
The Blackstone Group,[9][10] an investment and advisory firm
Hakluyt & Company,[11] a strategic intelligence and advisory firm
> Covington & Burling,[12] international law firm (2003)”<

o it`s kinda stupid to place all your high tech in a patent where everyone in the world can see it. I went to the PTO all the time and it was swarming with Chinese. If they find out that you have a patent they will even trail you from the PTO right to your house and ask you for technical info. been there done that. They came right to my door banging on it. It`s better to use trade secrets, or leave critical info off the patent, & get your product on the market. By the time the Chinese reverse engineer and copy your hardware, you have already captured the market. It saves millions in attorneys` fees. If you do sue and win, your technology is obsolete already.

Clinton gave China 5-axis metal milling machines that were invented to mill the airframe of the US Navy A-6 Intruders.

Those machines were very important for China’s development of intercontinental missles.

But what if they stole the technology even before anyone received the patent? Then they could possibly turn the legal system against us...and even if you win, sometimes you lose (by spending time, money, and vigor).

But you make a good point: neither the Chinese, nor a number of other countries have any respect for USA or European patents.

Clinton also took a $200k contribution from Bernie Swartz of Loral, and then permitted his transfer of MIRV tech to the Chicoms, effectively erasing a 20 year, $10 trillion cumulative defense investment.

Hakluyt... same guys as were involved in a weird murder case in China, and in the DoJ Russia collusion shenanigans against Carter Page and Trump.

2000s early : () Representatives of the two companies apparently met in the early 2000s, with Qualcomm expressing an interest in acquiring rights to ParkerVision’s invention, which would have helped it connect phones to the internet. Qualcomm, a multinational company headquartered in San Diego, reportedly signed multiple special nondisclosure agreements in order to learn about how ParkerVision’s down-converting system worked, particularly its energy sampling technique, which differed from the voltage sampling technique previously used in conventional down-converting systems.
According to Parker, the two companies were unable to reach a licensing agreement and went their separate ways.
