cut out the toast and/or butter.
I think they are underestimating the time required to rebuild culled flocks. Remember, the first farmers to market will get 5 times the regular price for their eggs.
Kill another zillion chickens for a BS virus.
The majority of us are not ruled by the price of eggs.
only cage free eggs can be sold in Michigan? That’s law?
Horse hockey.
They KILL the entire flock when any bird flu whatsoever is detected to 'protect us.'
This is government run amok.
This spread of bird flu seems as natural as all of the natural forest fires in California.

Egg production became centralized, and that worked when energy prices were low: delivery costs were lower.
When energy prices climbed, the centralized egg production locations became - effectively - a bit too far away.
I’ll stick to bacon. A cheaper alternative to eggs.
When placed in writing, fictional reasons become fact ……
Exactly. They don’t even care if the birds are immune, have it, or don’t. This is swatting gnats with a cannon. Evil government idiots.
I wonder if the Zeepers will blame Trump for the egg prices? After all, they blame Putin when the same happened in Russia. I kind of doubt it, since being consistent is not one of their strong points.
The eggs I buy at Walmart have already come down from their (Biden) high...
One chicken supposedly has “bird flu” and these nitwits murder a whole flock of millions. Maybe...just maybe...some of those murdered birds have immunity fully or to some degree and would survive. But no...the government nitwits want to destroy them all...MINIMIZING THE PROBABLILITY THAT CHICKENS USING THEIR NATURAL IMMUNITY WOULD DEVELOP IMMUNITY. Government nitwittery at its “best”.
These idiots so badly want people to have to rely on “manufactured” meat.
I paid $4.17 at Walmart...I bought 2 dozen at that price. I boil a lot of eggs and use for salad or sandwiches.
"One chicken supposedly has 'bird flu' and these nitwits murder a whole flock of millions."Is the other problem with centralized production.
