MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Against the backdrop of pressure from the new US administration and calls for negotiations with Moscow, Volodymyr Zelensky said that he allegedly had not been subject to Ukrainian law banning negotiations with Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said the day before that negotiations with Kiev under the current conditions would be illegitimate due to Ukraine's ban on them, which means that the results of these negotiations could also be declared illegitimate. According to him, the sponsors of the Kiev regime should force Zelensky to lift the ban.
As Zelensky said at a press conference in Kiev, immediately before he introduced the ban on negotiations, Russia, a number of Ukrainian political forces, as well as US and UK representatives, had tried to establish a negotiation process. He called attempts to achieve peace a "separatism."
"There were many negotiation processes, many shadow political corridors. I stopped it. I simply stopped separatism in our state. By forbidding anyone, any representatives and political figures in Ukraine to conduct any negotiations with the Russian side," Zelensky said.
At the same time, he called himself the leader of any possible negotiations.
"I forbade everyone else to conduct them," he emphasized against the backdrop of US President Donald Trump's recent statement about Zelensky's readiness for negotiations.
However, Zelensky's decree of September 30, 2022 and the decision of the National Security and Defense Council said nothing about the participants in the negotiations from Ukraine, only stating in general "the impossibility of holding negotiations with the President of the Russian Federation Putin."
Verkhovna Rada member Oleksandr Dubinsky earlier said that after Trump's words, Zelensky "is dancing on the head of a pin."
Putin previously put forward initiatives for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine: Moscow will immediately cease fire and declare its readiness......

It’s past time for Zelensky to go. He is impeding any progress.
No leader anywhere wants to have to face their people and explain how their actions resulted in the destruction of the Ukraine, brought Europe and the USA to the brink of nuclear war, the deaths or serious injury of perhaps as many as 2 million people, a Ukrainian refugee crisis, and the depletion of military reserves and stockpiles to critically low low levels and the waste of at least a quarter trillion dollars - probably much more . and a multi trillion dollar reconstruction bill.
I seriously doubt that Zelensky and his cabal will survive the end of this war and will probably be executed by the Ukrainian people for what he has brought upon them

I’m with Trump, I also have better things to do with my time than worry about some puny DESPOTIC country halfway around the world.
His use-by date ended on May 21, 2024.
Zelensky is a criminal who is responsible for the deaths of thousands of both Ukrainian and Russian and now North Korean soldiers.
I hope he and all the politicians on both sides of the aisle here who made mucho bucks these past four years from investments in this proxy war, are rounded up and tried as war criminals.

No need to go further than that to decide he is guilty of murdering millions of his countrymen. The good thing? The Ukrainian people will take care of Zelensky when they fully understand what he has done to them.
Likewise with the brain dead EU leadership, the EU citizens are suffering severe recession due to their war with Russia, a few of their governments have collapsed ( Germany Romania) and more government changes are coming.
