We don’t need student visas. Stop the program.
Want to bet they aren’t minoring in gender studies?
Not that I’m defending this program but the simple fact is that the US is (effectively) no longer educating people to the level required by these jobs (thank you, teachers unions). In fact, I suspect that was at least as much responsible for bringing in foreigners than any financial incentive.
Just another way to “stick it” to our youth and America as a whole. We have enough of our own that are more than adequate for these fields and then some.
Certainly the foreigners from enemy countries like communist China and item and Arab terrorist incubators or enablers should be kept out of USA en Toto. Period.
If let in, they need to be very carefully watched 24/7
And kept away from STEM type classrooms and labs.
No need for espionage when we just give it all away in classrooms.
INSANE!
And of course it will be ANOTHER venue for chain migration.
Here is my non-negotiable demand.
ALL “Temporary” visas to prohibit chain migration.
H1B, we hired the worker, not the wife or entire extended family.
Students, ONLY the students, no wives, siblings, or other family members.
There has to be incentive to RETURN to where they came from.
If the family is here then “Temporary” is a myth.
Many American students are smart and talented. This OPT program is just a way for companies to get around the H-1B limits.
I spoke to a science teacher at the best school in Tallahassee, Leon High. He said black students who did well were beaten up and never did well again. The white students were so frightened about just surviving the day that if they learned anything it was a miracle.

Not just blacks. In one case an Hispanic immigrant I worked with asked his high school daughter why she got some answers wrong on a test when she knew the right answers. Her reply was that she would lose her friends if she did too well. As far as I know, honkies and Asians NEVER have to deal with anything like that.
It’s one of the HORRIBLE fallouts of a ‘multicultural’ society. If you’re designated to be one of the ‘victim’ cultures (the way Democrats did that to blacks), your chances of being successful are next to nothing, because you are selling out to ‘The Man’. Really no different than if you’re a hard worker in a union shop, again, selling out to ‘The Man’.
Thomas Sowell grew up in segregated Harlem which was basically a self-sufficient culture within the United States, with its own doctors, store owners, insurance agents, etc. who were all black - still poorer and more crime, but nothing like today. But then desegregation came along and the successful blacks bolted to White areas...leaving their former society to rot. Sowell said there is no way he would have ever made it out of the ghetto with any level of success if were just a bit older and was poisoned by ‘civil rights’ - likely would have been killed or in jail.
