JOIN US ON JANUARY 24, 2025 IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
The right to life is a human right. Our defense of that right is a joyful witness to the beauty and dignity of every human person.
The March for Life is an inspiring, peaceful, vibrant, and joy-filled rally of women, men, young people, and children from all across the country. Every year, tens of thousands of pro-lifers converge in Washington, D.C. and march on Capitol Hill on the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling which legalized abortion in all 50 states. It’s the largest annual human rights demonstration in the world. But this is not just a protest… TOGETHER, WE GATHER TO CELEBRATE LIFE. We celebrate each and every life, from the moment of conception. We envision a world where every life is celebrated, valued, and protected.

Nice.
The debate around this law reminded me of the practice by ancient Rome and other societies of the “exposure of infants”. They were abandoned to the elements of weather or predators. Poor people could be rid of extra mouths to feed, and especially those of baby girls who were also a dowry liability. They could also be rid of those with imperfect physical makeup or parentage. The practice seems to have resulted from utility and did not have any spiritual significance. Kenneth Scott Latourette in his history of Christianity notes the practice ended where the faith took hold.
This major political party, representing half the people living in this country, affirms a similar practice of murder, but in the face of 21st century scientific progress, which could save these children. Children that could have survived are killed by a medical profession no longer laboring under any moral dilemma, and abortion should be regarded as a pagan sacrament required for membership. As far as I am concerned, we can’t all just get along.
Bethany Hamilton as the keynote speaker is super. She is among the bravest and most inspiring people on Earth. Recently, she receives flak for speaking out against men competing in women’s surfing but if 14-foot tiger sharks cannot intimidate her then the trendy woke crowd certainly will not phase her.
Will the so-called “news” media ignore this event — again?
My daughters used to go every year.
I know they often must brave the worst weather to be there. My old boss, Senator Jesse Helms, always praised Nellie Gray for her work at getting the March for Life going and keeping it as an annual event.
The ‘bad’ news is that with the information frenzy about the Inauguration and all the MAGA news, this cause didn’t get as much attention as it should have.
The GOOD news is that those newly Inaugurated are seriously supportive of Life!
I thank God for this event for life and the unborn children. It’s possible many thousands more people might attend if the event were held in the springtime. Maybe the organizers will change the date.
JD’s speech was excellent!!
Had a daughter go this year.
Yes it was.
