What is a debt ceiling if you just ignore it all the time? It’s a bad joke. As it is now, Congress passes almost any and all spending measures because they feel it will help get them reelected. So, they kick the can down the road to a point where our kids finally pay the piper or the US goes supernova and collapses under its own debt weight.

Task #1) Vote on a bill to provide assistance to hurricane victims in North Carolina. A clean bill. Just money to help them recover.

Task #2) Vote a bill to provide assistance to CA for the wildfires. Marry this topic with a debt limit in the same bill. If the Democrats want to screw over CA residents and deny them any financial support at all, that’s on them. Just put up some billboards in Los Angeles so that everyone knows the Democrats don’t care about people.
