Trump unleashes on Bank of America CEO to his face for blocking his supporters using his bank
UK Daily Mail ^ | 01/23/2025 | Geoff Earle

President Donald Trump attacked Bank of America for failing to lend to conservatives during a sudden attack during a livestream speech to execs and elites in Davos.

The sudden blast came in an angry speech where Trump vowed to slap tariffs on countries that don't manufacture inside the U.S. and demanded OPEC lower oil prices.

During a question-and-answer period, the bank's CEO Brian Moynihan asked a softball question about how his executive orders would impact his push for economic growth and market growth.

Trump responded, then told him: 'I hope you start opening your bank to conservatives … they don’t take conservative business.'

Moynihan didn't respond to the substance of the president's attack, instead saying: 'We look forward to sponsoring the World Cup,' one of several high-profile upcoming events in the U.S. that Trump is touting.

The exchange established Trump's determination to dominate business policy, just as he sought to assert himself against other countries, once again talking about absorbing Canada as a U.S. state and threatening tough trade actions.

'You will have to pay a tariff – differing amounts but a tariff,' Trump told the gathering of heads of state and business bigwigs in the Swiss Alps.

'My message to every business in the world is very simple, come make your product in America and we will give you among the lowest taxes of any nation of earth… but if you don’t make your product in America than very simply, you will have to pay a tariff,' Trump threatened.

Then he delivered a warm message and some asks to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, who U.S. intelligence assessed was behind the killing of Jamal Khashoggi.

MBS has said he wants to make big investments in the U.S. totalling $600 billion that Trump wants to boost.

The Daily Mail called it an angry speech but Trump was quite calm and matter-of-fact during the 20 minute speech and 20 minute Q&A. I confess I regularly read the D M online but they do so try to be sensational.

I was wondering who shut Barron Trumps bank account.
I think we know the answer.

With everything we’ve seen from BOA, you are an idiot if you still use them. BOA is the left’s toolbox.

“attack”, “angry”, “slap”, “blast”, “demanded”

I see they have the Republican action words out that are never used with Democrats.

I listened to Trump’s WEF speech and this article was a very poor description of what was said. Instead it was pure propaganda from a socialist’s view.

Daily Mail has to toss this in...

Then he delivered a warm message and some asks to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, who U.S. intelligence assessed was behind the killing of Jamal Khashoggi.

That was glorious to see. Stuffed him in public for de-banking conservatives.

You’re on notice, a hole.

Don’t, Wells Fargo either. Both are partially insolvent, they are the big two most likely to “ be first” with our upcoming banking crisis.

Trump as a strong personality and President can do A LOT to affect change immediately.

BUT - the great trick of FDR (and Democrats after him) was he institutionalized progressivism, statism and socialism into American legislation and into our governing institutions. It’s all supported by massive government debt and our printed, fiat currency. It’s metasticized for 100 years.

In his 4 years, Trump also needs Congress to institutionalize many MAGA changes, from removing whole agencies, to change or adjusting major, long-standing environmental, civil rights or defense/intel legislation which has been used and abused by the swamp far beyond original intent.

Trump has to act on “debanking” to assure that a bank doesn’t drop a depositor because he/she is on the wrong side of the political spectrum, or as political retribution.

Also Paypal’s decision to steal $2,500 from depositors because of their political views.

Also credit card companies that won’t do business with legal gun dealers.

“U.S. intelligence assessed was behind the killing of Jamal Khashoggi.”

US intelligence also “assessed” Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation - so there’s that.
