On his first day in office, President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing the Commerce and Interior secretaries to reroute more water from Northern California to other parts of the state.

This move aims to address water shortages affecting Central Valley farmers.

maybe devin can salvage his orchard , i hope.

there has been a decades long water war aimed at farmers , to collapse the ag industry of the valley by depriving them of water, and aquire the land for pennies on the dollar imho.

There shouldn’t even be Departments of Commerce and Interior.

I hope Newsom and others are crapping their pants in anticipation of an ass chewing from Donald Trump.

What amazes me is the contrast with a leader like DeSantis and a failed politician like Newsome.

DeSantis would and does lead every press conference when disaster hits a part of his state. Newsome? Well he runs and hides.

Trump should impose tariffs on hair gel.

It would bring the firebug Grabbin Nuisance to his knees.

Yep. My grandfather bought land in the Central Valley in the 20s for farming - he was on the Eastern side, which is water-starved. Never could get the water rights. He was even forced to cede a corner of his land for a water canal - but wasn’t allowed any of the water.

My family sold off the last parcel about five years ago - the new owner wants to grow walnuts on the land. Hope he can get the water my grandfather never could.

AND, they haven’t even acquired all the rights as of 2025. The train was supposed to be up and running by 2020 and only 1600 feet of track has been laid down after 17 years.

Train is supposed to go from Merced to Modesto - or Bakersfield to Merced - got to get the illegals to the farm fields. Original plan was LA to San Francisco.

If I want to go to San Francisco (which I often visit) - I can fly there in an hour - or drive my car five hours, which is faster than the train.

What a boondoggle...

A kingdom is a good form of govt if you have a good king.

Many might view this as trump acting like a dictator.

but my view is much of what he does, eventually is a movement to reempower states by holding them accountable.

But it is important that the citizens see the big picture of what is going on.

I believe Trump is like G Washington, he doesn’t want to be a king, we wants to be a leader.

Morton Salt (or whoever supplies the USA), should build an Israeli desalination plant, refill the resevoir, (and build another?) and supply us our own salt and supply other countries

My relatives live in a wealthy enclave - the same one that hosts Prince Harry and Megan.

The city has tried to put in a desalination plant many times for decades - except the residents resist and elect politicians that oppose this.

Reason? Keep water expensive and scarce to prevent development.

don’t forget his shoulder happy dance move…… come campaign time that will be his go move….. burn down over 12,000 homes and now discuss changes…. 🧐🧐🧐🧐 kind of Nero-esque…..

Nero did not like the aesthetics of the city and used the devastation of the fire in order to change much of it and institute new building codes throughout the city.

So now we call him Governor Nero

Maybe its time to dissolve the CA water boards and CARB?

There may have been a time that they were needed.

Not any more.

Trump also knows something about the construction industry and if he can facilitate rebuilding LA, I predict the Republican candidate aka JD Vance, will win CA in 2028.
