Guess Who Elizabeth Warren Blamed for Biden's Family Pardons?
PJ Media ^ | Sarah Anderson

Posted on 01/22/2025 10:46:20 PM PST by NoLibZone

Elizabeth Warren, everyone's favorite senator from Massachusetts, appeared on CNN on Monday night to talk about, I don't know, maybe hunting and gathering? The first Thanksgiving? How the white man drove her from her land?

Warren explained that poor Biden is just a kind-hearted old family man who had no choice but to make these pardons out of fear that Trump might try to use his sweet little family against him just because Trump doesn't like him.

Preemptive pardons completely negate the entire rule of law in the US.

Any administration could do anything they want and preemptively pardon their staff for having violated any all in every law.

This must be challenged in the Supreme Court

I say that Pocahantas’ grandchildren should have a week-long unsupervised sleepover at kindly Grandpa Joe’s house.

Seriously.

It makes a mockery of justice and is a tacit admission of guilt.

Such a thing, especially the kind he gave his own family, should not be allowed to exist.

Absolutely! A gross abuse/misuse of Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 of the Constitution. I think its unprecedented. Has anyone here ever heard of a president using the power of pardon to such a degree that is so profoundly personal and political in its application? I dont think anyone was released from jail. Biden was/is a colossal embarrassment.

The Founding Fathers never anticipated anyone as slimy and corrupt as Joe Biden as President. While I am extremely reticent to allow SCOTUS to tinker with the Constitution this is so egregious it demands their review.

If they punt and say an Amendment is the only cure then we should get on that right away.

The precedent it sets is that every president, as he leaves office, pardons everyone in his circle for every possible crime on the premise that they could potentially be targeted with political lawfare.

It is disgusting but it is right in line with the many ways Biden tried to make America a banana republic.

I suspect that the framers of the Constitution had NO idea as to the level of cynicism that would emerge from the Republic they had just formed via their lives, fortunes and sacred honor.

But, if they had tried to counteract every possible eventuality, they would be writing on it still. As it were, I’d say they did a mighty great job,

Pretty sure such a challenge would fail.

A) Preemptive pardons have been used in the past. Jefferson Davis was eventually pardoned without an indictment or trial, Nixon was given a wide ranging pardon.

B) the constitution puts no limits on the power to grant pardons.

Perhaps the founders didn't anticipate someone as slimy as China Joe, although shortly after the ratification of the constitution they had the example of V.P Aaron Burr to think about, but they did not make any limits on pardons or clemency.

Interesting that Biden did not pardon himself.

I’m pretty sure that was duly noted by PDJT’s team, especially Pam Bondi.

“I think they felt that too old and feeble in the brain to stand trial finding was enough cover.”

That excuse worked in Hur’s report. Hur’s report isn’t law and I’m hoping this administration might have a different viewpoint.

If PDJT lets this slide, like he let Hillary slide, we have nobody but ourselves to blame for future abuses of power. There’s no accountability.

“This must be challenged in the Supreme Court”

It will be 9-0 against. The President can pardon anyone he wants. Doesn’t matter whether a crime was committed or not. However, that pardon comes with a caveat. Because you have immunity, you cannot plead the 5th if called to testify.

I completely agree. The same people screaming loudly about personal presidential immunity—"Trump can murder people now"—have no problem with broad immunity for a president and anyone he chooses to confer with the same by way of preemptive pardons. This is exactly what John Adams meant when he said, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." Joe Biden is neither moral nor religious and he just proved Adams's point.

I have been saying for years now that the left has been systematically attacking every institution we have whether it's elections, race, gender or sports to undermine public trust and belief in them. The left understands that without belief and trust in institutions, people will naturally look to alternatives—"There has to be a better way." For the left, that better way is moving aside the Constitution for socialism and communism.

Joe Biden just did his best to obliterate what remains of our belief and trust in the rule of law with those preemptive pardons after his regime spent the last four years undermining it daily with unfettered illegal immigration while democrat DAs around the country undermined it by not charging criminals, doing away with bail, and persecuting people like President Trump but also anyone who protests abortions or the actions of a school board.

There is a lot more at stake here than not being able to punish that SOB Fauci or that other SOB Cheney. Far more than is comfortable to think.
