Trump needed to pardon Edward Snowden on Day One.

Previously, I wasn't too sure about him.

But after what I've seen with the Biden Administration, it's clear.

He deserves to be pardoned.

AP 2019:

James Clapper, the former director of national intelligence, denied Tuesday that he lied to Congress when he falsely testified during the Obama administration that the government does “not wittingly” collect the telephone records of millions of Americans.

The head of the U.S. intelligence community under former President Barack Obama, Mr. Clapper recalled his 2013 testimony in light of the National Security Agency reportedly abandoning a controversial, warrantless mass-surveillance program he previously denied existing.

“I didn’t lie, I made a big mistake, and I just simply didn’t understand what I was being asked about,” Mr. Clapper said on CNN. “I thought of another surveillance program, Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, when I was being asked about Section 215 of the Patriot Act at the time, I just didn’t understand

During Trump’s first term, Snowden said he did not want a pardon from Trump — because he doesn’t like him.

If he gets a pardon and leaves Russia, I’d bet he dies in a mysterious accident.

“6 ways from sunday” and all of that.

“It’s important to bear in mind I’m being called a traitor by men like former Vice President Dick Cheney,” Snowden said. “This is a man who gave us the warrantless wiretapping scheme as a kind of atrocity warm-up on the way to deceitfully engineering a conflict that has killed over 4,400 and maimed nearly 32,000 Americans, as well as leaving over 100,000 Iraqis dead.”

“Being called a traitor by Dick Cheney is the highest honor you can give an American, and the more panicked talk we hear from people like him ... the better off we all are,”

“I didn’t lie, I made a big mistake, and I just simply didn’t understand what I was being asked about,” Mr. Clapper said on CNN.”

So, I assume, he CORRECTED THE RECORD shortly after being interviewed as there certainly had to be watching the show and saw his ‘mistake’ and therefore notified him, either directly or indirectly, through the proper channels.

Oh, he didn’t correct the record? Hmmm.

I think Snowden is both a hero and a traitor.
He’s a hero for exposing that American civil rights were being violated and that government was spying on us.
But he’s a traitor by exposing methods of spying on foreign countries.

He says that while taking shelter in a country that has sent a million of their citizens to die while murdering 700,000 of another nation’s people.

1,700,000 dead.

So can every one of our enemies. Their hackers, cybersecurity and intelligence agencies are every bit as good as ours and in some cases, better.

Oliver Stone is not a good guy, he is just a leftwing propagandist like Michael Moore, certainly no more honest than his targets.
