No idea how the site calculates this, but I take it as a great indicator of what's to come!
Welcome to the Golden Age, as mentioned a couple of times in the inaugural speech.
Already good crop of news items from about half a dozen EOs.
Excerpt from the Issues page:
"The President will usher a Golden Age for America by reforming and improving the government bureaucracy to work for the American people. He will freeze bureaucrat hiring except in essential areas to end the onslaught of useless and overpaid DEI activists buried into the federal workforce. He will pause burdensome and radical regulations not yet in effect that Biden announced."
Of course there will be spending, but what is important is the spending over the income. Spending alone is meaningless.
Do you think it is the total savings DOGE claims?
I am just guessing. The announced $2 trillion over the announce lifetime of DOGE?
Oh, thanks for pointing that out. I don’t visit it often, but it’s an excellent reference tool (and for pointing others to see the scope of government spending). Hopefully the DOGE counter is accurate and we see the numbers soar in the days and months ahead!
Too many numbers.
Where?
It makes my head hurt
“Do you think it is the total savings DOGE claims?”
**********
There’s no explanatory label on the website by you’re probably right.
I don’t know either, but the way it is set up it looks sort of like total federal spending since Trump took the oath today.
This is rather intriguing, would be interested to see how this is being calculated. However, the overall national debt is still climbing faster as of this moment.
Yes, and will rip higher. Thats the nature of the amount of debt we have, and the payoff scheme put into place by our politicians.
Wouldn't it have a negative number if it was subtracting?
Since noon, we have increased our national debt by $1.245 billion.
I anticipate as D.O.G.E. starts cutting costs, the numbers will start to slow and then reverse.
This will be interesting to monitor as time goes on.
