Cecile Richards, the former president of Planned Parenthood and a prominent feminist activist, passed away today at the age of 67, following a battle with aggressive brain cancer.
Richards led Planned Parenthood from 2006 to 2018, overseeing the killing of millions of babies and an entry into the market of potentially illegally selling aborted baby parts.
During her 12-year tenure as Planned Parenthood’s president, 2006-2018, Richards oversaw nearly four million abortions, according to Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, which analyzed the organization’s annual reports in its own fact sheet.
When Richards came into office, the abortion titan carried out 264,943 abortions per year. When she left in 2018, Planned Parenthood killed 332,757 unborn babies through abortion. Richards increased the number of abortions Planned Parenthood carried out each year by almost 70,000 total. During her time as president, Planned Parenthood killed over four million babies through the atrocity of abortion and broke the hearts of countless mothers and fathers.
During her last full year as president, in 2017, Planned Parenthood expanded the “services” they provide to include permanently damaging cross-sex hormones for people with gender dysphoria. She dedicated that year to “defiance, and the power of the Planned Parenthood family.” That’s ironic, given that all the work she did was intended to destroy the family.
This past year, Richards revealed that she was battling glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer — one that typically claims the lives of its victims in under a year and a half. In an Instagram post on her diagnosis, Richards wrote, “In my experience, having cancer doesn’t suddenly fill you with profound insights on life. What it does is make it really clear what’s important. And there is no more important work right now than fighting for abortion rights. … After all, as my mother used to say, ‘Why should your life be just about you?’”
Richards followed Gloria Feldt as president of Planned Parenthood and quickly became known for transforming the organization into what she described as the “largest kick-butt political organization.” However, during her tenure, Planned Parenthood’s non-abortion health care services declined, while abortions and taxpayer funding surged.
LiveAction reported that from 2006 to 2018, Planned Parenthood’s annual government funding increased by 67%, from $336.7 million to $563.8 million. During the same period, the number of abortions performed by the organization rose by nearly 15%, climbing from 289,750 annually to 332,757 annually.
Critics also highlighted Richards’ role in controversies involving Planned Parenthood, including allegations of Medicaid fraud, child abuse cover-ups, and the sale of fetal tissue. The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) accused Planned Parenthood of illegally selling fetal organs, an allegation that gained national attention when Richards publicly apologized for the “tone” used by one of the organization’s medical directors, Dr. Deborah Nucatola. In a CMP video, Nucatola was shown casually discussing the extraction of fetal organs during abortions.
According to LiveAction, under Richards’ leadership, Planned Parenthood falsely claimed to provide mammograms, and internal accusations of racism and privacy violations surfaced. Pro-life advocates argue that her leadership did not represent an “inspiring legacy” but rather a tragic chapter in the history of abortion in America.
Last year, in a private ceremony, Joe Biden awarded the Medal of Freedom to Cecile Richards, former president of Planned Parenthood.
She was the daughter of Ann Richards, the pro-abortion former Democratic governor of Texas.

God is not willing that any should perish, but that all come into repentance.
Cecile Richards, with a clear and sober mind seems to have made a very certain decision on where she wanted to spend eternity.
She and the babies took separate paths.

I can see the resemblance to her mother. But if Ann had aborted, there would have been no Cecille.
