President Donald Trump said Monday that he would sign an executive order to stop government censorship and bring back free speech.
"I will also sign an executive order to immediately stop all government censorship and bring back free speech to America," Trump said during his speech after he was sworn in as president.
Trump is set to sign multiple executive orders on his first day in office, mostly regarding the U.S. southern border and immigration.
He went on to slam the politicization of federal agencies and how they have been unfairly targeting individuals based on politics.
"Never again will the immense power of the state be weaponized to persecute political opponents....something I know something about," Trump said.
He touted the Department of Government Efficiency, saying it would restore competence and effectiveness to the U.S. government.
