US President Donald Trump is preparing to issue sweeping pardons for defendants charged in the Jan. 6 2021 attack on the US Capitol, ABC News reported on Monday, citing unidentified sources.
ABC News added that Trump also planned to extend full pardons to his supporters who were not charged with engaging in violence on the day.

I regard these folks as some of "The Hostages" being released. Certainly, they are political prisoners of Joe Biden and the Radical Left.
Given that Biden just pardoned Byrd, he should pardon all of them.
And then he should challenge Biden’s preemptive pardons in court.
It looks like Byrd won’t be alone as the only J6er who was pardoned.

My thought is that EVERY ONE of the “J6ers” should have their sentences commuted on day 1, then beginning soon but not today consideration should be given to full pardons on a case-by-case basis.
It is possible to quibble about pardoning some, but I doubt that any of those quibbles stand up for ANY cases, given the provocation.
Now let's have a committee to find out exactly what happened and who's responsible. Let the truth be exposed no matter what it should be.
If it should be determined that the defendants were persecuted, if they were victims of entrapment, or they received unjust treatment, they should be authorized to sue their persecutors for damages.

Pardon all of them with the exception of any law enforcement agency employee who went undercover to foment unrest. They should be tried for sedition and treason.
I have a seen a video showing capitol cops pulling barricades aside and waving protesters into the capitol curtilage and building.
