Martin Luther King III, the son of civil rights advocate Martin Luther King Jr., said his father would be “quite disappointed” with the current world, but not surprised.
King joined NBC News’s “Meet the Press,” where he was asked about the state of the nation and what his father would think.
“He’d be quite disappointed, quite frankly, that we are where we are,” he said. “Probably wouldn’t be surprised, but he certainly would be disappointed because he always infused energy that was positive, bringing out the best of who we as Americans are.”
King said that although Americans are more divided than ever, there’s good that can come during these times.
“Unfortunately, in great tragedy, we see the best of who Americans are,” he said. “But when it’s over, we go back to our corners and live in bubbles and separate. We need to exhibit the behavior that we exhibit in tragedy universally, all the time.”

Your father was a homophobe, Martin Luther King III.
He’d get cancelled on Day One of his return.
King was a communist.
He had the diddy parties before the diddy party
Yep. He should be happy about DEI, equity, official segregation and the Democratic belief that, “Your skin color is your uniform.”
His married father hired white prostitudes for sex and then after the sex was achieved, his father would beat up the white woman prostitude.
Commie trained Socalist also.
And his father’s alcoholism was getting worse. Pundits say his popularity was starting to fail and that he not been shot, he would have faded into obscurity.
Who couldn’t say that about their father? Raise hands.
And a traitor.

**King was a communist.**

Yes your heads people.
Seems too reasonable to be a lefty.
If King were alive today, he'd celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.
disagree

> We get nothing on by dissing him. <

Same goes with unions. They are corrupt. But more is to be lost than gained by dissing them in public.
Trump gets that. And that’s one reason why he won the popular vote in 2024.
Disclaimer: I’m not advocating self-censorship. After all, I just said unions are corrupt. I’m advocating a bit of strategic thinking, that’s all.
I think we are all quite disappointed.
