In January thousands of churches observe Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. Since 1973 this observance has taken place annually on the Sunday closest to the anniversary of the Roe v Wade decision that legalized abortion in America.
Here are 20 sermons that may help you in your preaching and Bible teaching on this special Sunday. The first few deal with abortion directly. The rest deal with some aspect of the issue–how to respond, how abortion touches fundamental issues of theology, the importance of moral purity, how speak out with tenacious, winsome courage, and how to show love to those who are hurting and confused. Please feel free to use this material in any way that may be helpful in your own ministry.
May God be pleased to count this as a tiny contribution on the side of life.

The simplest gestures make huge impacts.
- Swap your car tag for a Pro-life one. You never know if a lady is heading to the abortion mill and get behind you in traffic after pleading with God for a sign and then changes her mind.
- When someone refers to a pregnant lady as a “mother-to-be” politely correct them that she is in fact a mother. Isn’t that a baby in her womb?
- Make a pro-life statement with clothing or hats. Rather than putting my name on my Hard hat at work, I put “Choose Life” instead. I say that my name isn’t relevant, my mission is... Granted some call me “Choose” until I tell them my name.
Such and so forth...
