How resistance to Trump may look different in his second administration
The Washington Post ^ | January 17, 2025 | Ellie Silverman and Tim Craig

Fanell Sawyer keeps replaying in her head the morning she learned Donald Trump had won the election. She was at home in Georgia, ready to start another day working remotely in customer service for an insurance company, when her teenage daughter turned to her and uttered seven words that felt like a gut punch.

“Mom,” she said, “This country doesn’t care about women.”

This weekend, demonstrators will travel to D.C. and cities across the country for the People’s March, organized by leading civil rights, racial justice and reproductive health organizations. Thousands are expected to participate, though the number of protesters is unlikely to be anywhere near the historic turnout seen eight years ago.

“A lot of people don’t believe that a march is going to solve the problem. And they’re right. A march, in and of itself, is not going to solve the problem. But that doesn’t mean the resistance won’t exist,” said Dana Fisher, an American University professor and the author of “American Resistance: From the Women’s March to the Blue Wave.” “The resistance will rise again, but it’s going to look really different.”

... { scrolling down almost to the end to the real real story } ...

Leaders say that since that protest, they have expanded their bases and infrastructure and are more prepared to mobilize the masses for Trump 2.0. The march inspired people to run for public office, lobby officials and become activists. But there have also been public controversies. The Women’s March organization has faced allegations of antisemitism, secretive financial dealings and infighting that resulted in founders leaving the group. { emphasis added }

Wapo calls it front page news, but I have tagged it as an 'editorial' because it clearly is one.

Given how teenagers are, that is almost believable.

Usually, it's a 7 year old that says it and people just laugh.

A teenage girl said this country doesn’t care about women?

Interesting mindset. In her mind we had to vote for Kamala to prove we care about women. She probably also thinks we were supposed to vote that way to prove we’re not racist.

It wouldmbe interesting to talk to her , to see if she thinks Trump is Hitler. Just what sort of mindset does she have about all of this?

And the bias starts in the headline.

What does “resistance to Trump” mean?

Insofar as he was elected, it can only mean resistance to the results of a valid (this time) election.

WAPO pinkos.

It’s truly a shame that pop culture, the media, and academia have instilled this type of thinking among young girls.

"Mom,” she said, “This country doesn’t care about women.”

Another Kool Aid guzzler. Some day, God willing, she will know the truth, and the truth will set her free.

Oooh…the lefties and woketards are gonna march. I wonder if they will have special headgear this time. They won’t be taken seriously, they’ll just be out in the freezing cold. I shall chortle at their folly while we get on with the business of making America great again.

Ironic in that allowing women to butcher their unborn children is literally a gut punch to women.

“Mom,” she said, “This country doesn’t care about women.”I think many men are like me and care deeply for women. But not about women like her.

Is it just me or does this sound like a communist wrote it?

Barfage. The so-called journalists love to tell a story. Get someone who has a particular experience and embellish it like a Hallmark movie. They are playing for feelings. Feelings are what got us into this mess in the first place. You feel like you can be called racist for not walking down a certain street, so you walk down it. Next thing you know you are experiencing the knock out game or worse. Thinking would have saved your ass. Democrats have felt sorry or guilty about many real and imagined issues and they have implemented laws and regulations because of it. Climate change is a good example. Someone built a house and bad weather washed it away. Boohoohooo. Let’s all stop driving petroleum fueled vehicles.

Her little dumbass princess is going to make a good commie fascist. Damn right the far left doesn’t care about women. They want men using their women’s toilets and make the little girls got to the boys bathroom to get a tampon. They also don’t want women winning trophies so they make them play against teams that have women with testicles.

I don’t know about that but it is literally in the teens right now and you’ve got a huge group of brainwashed idiots marching down 1600 Pennsylvania while Trump canceled his outside inauguration? I am furious to see these bastards marching in the street with freezing temperatures and Trump could not even have his outside inauguration at least for an hour. Didn’t have to go half a day just show him coming down the steps put his hand on the Bible sworn in and sing America the beautiful or the Star-Spangled Banner. That was all that needed to take place! The people needed this so desperately. If I hear anybody that’s attending inauguration balls say oh but it’s due to security while they’re feasting and being a part of the hoopla with bands and champagne I’m gonna be really pissed off. And I’m talking to you Jack Posobic! I think he fell for the hoax I really do. Google past presidents that were sworn outside in freezing temperatures. I believe one of them was Kennedy‘s it was 22°. They planned it perfectly to rob him of the most glorious day in his life. He is starting his term believing the DC SWAMP… the freezing temperatures have not stopped the protesters. So why should it stop MAGA from attending? I am infuriated I’m sorry but watching those protesters marching towards the capitol in freezing temps pisses me off to no end.

Hopefully they won’t allow any college loan deadbeats into any events if they are wearing their College Hamass Terrorist rags and waving their diapers as Hamass flags.

They still keep displaying the behaviors that led to the massive loss. If they hadn’t cheated on Nov 5th by counting RAT votes over and over for weeks, it would be far worse.

But here they go, they never learn. Mental illness on display by democrats. They have been making fools of themselves ever since with classless, corrupt, and cheesy behavior.

The are incapable of any self awareness.
