What just happened?
At 9:44 PM ET on a casual Friday night, president-elect Trump launched the biggest memecoin in history, $TRUMP.
Since then, the coin is up 9,500% with $2.2 BILLION of volume traded in under 12 hours.
What does this all mean? Let us explain.
The initial launch of the coin was so hard to believe, it came with skepticism.
Traders figured Donald Trump's account was hacked.
However, no statement on a hack surfaced so the coin kept rising.
At 12:45 AM ET, $TRUMP broke above $10.00 and the rally accelerated rapidly
In fact, not even Elon Musk was sure that Donald Trump's X account had not been hacked.
Nearly 12 hours later, it is clear that this coin is legitimately launched by Trump.
Donald Trump is now the first president in history to launch a memecoin
In the early hours, traders were making unprecedented returns on the swings.
In the first 2 hours, one trader made $50,000 into nearly $1.1 MILLION.
The coin, $TRUMP, outperformed the S&P 500's last 30-year return in the first 2 hours.
And, it's still rising as we speak
It was pretty obvious it was the real deal when he posted it on X and truth social
It just hit $25
cant find it,where do we buy it?
coinbase.com
i have an account with coinbase and still cant find it
To buy $TRUMP, users need to use a Solana-based exchange like Jupiter and a non-custodial wallet, such as Phantom. The coin's contract address is available on CoinMarketCap and SolScan. It's essential to verify the address, as fake versions of the coin are already circulating. Purchases can be made in SOL or other SOL-compatible tokens.
When buying $TRUMP, users also gain access to the Trump Meme Community, which promotes success and optimism....

Ditto. Thought it would be there.
Try this, but I don’t have an account and I’m not sure how it works:

Keep an eye out for an anti-Trump memecoin. Lotta haters out there with a lotta money.
Wow - all Greek to me…. If o can’t buy it through my vanguard brokerage account I’m pretty much dead in the water.
80% owned by the creators!?!?!?!?
Meme coins are dangerous investments. Look at the crash of the Hawk Tuah girl’s meme ok. People got wiped out in days.
.
I’m no expert, but I went through the sign-up process on the moonbase app and got uncomfortable with all the personal ID stuff. I went to coinbase and set up an account there. I know they’re legit and you can trade bitcoin and all the rest of these virtual currencies. Except for this one. It’s on a different market.
Again, I know practically nothing but to me the trading market for the $TRUMP coin is pretty small at the moment. Come 1/22/25, after all the hoopla, it might be worth $1.00.
I met a guy in his 20’s a few years ago, and he had made millions on bitcoin. Bitcoin is trading right now at $104,000.00, and you could have bought is at somewhere around 60K this time last year. Big money being won and lost.
I’m afraid that is going to happen with this, except this could cause more damage to the overall crypto market than “spitty chick’s” rug pull. Could turn a lot of people off to it, even the coins with utility.
Yeah I’ve done real well with Tesla and a Bitcoin EFT called grayscale - but I bought them both low and held on through the ups and downs - and I do it through vanguard.
The only one I “day traded” was that original Trump stock (I forget the name) that shot up one day and then fell back down.. I bought about $3k worth just for fun at (I think) $10 in the morning and sold it at the peak ($110) that same afternoon - I made a quick $30k that day. :-)
I expect this one will behave about the same way - shooting star
Other than that I’m mostly in index funds.
If I had bought a 100 dollars in yesterday evening, I probably would have sold already and taken the 10L.
Only the Lord can get both to hate less, but the leftist is totally devoid of the Lord. 🙂👍
That’s for the coin Official Trump , not $TRUMP.
