Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced on Thursday that he is replacing Marco Rubio in the Senate with the state's attorney general, Ashley Moody. Rubio, who has served in the Senate since 2010, has been tapped by President-elect Donald Trump to be secretary of state. Rubio was on Capitol Hill on Wednesday for his confirmation hearing, during which he was pressed on Trump's foreign policy goals. DeSantis' pick will serve the remaining two years of Rubio's term. What more could anyone want!
For starters we outside of Florida don’t have not one thing who she is. First time I have heard of her name. Second of all, why did Gaetz resign? He gained nothing. That was the most stupidest decision Matt ever did! We needed him in congress… stupid stupid move! He counted his chickens before they hatched. I just knew DeSantis, the snake, was not gonna choose him to replace Rubio. We all knew it.

Gaetz is a cad, everyone wanted him out of Congress. Plus he looks goofy with that plastic surgery.
Reeks of a GOP managed decline. Opportunity here is to put in an ideological conservative and instead we get a party loyalist.

I agree. She is suing FEMA for skipping over Trump supporter’s homes. As Florida AG she has joined the states his backing border security plans. She has pushed hard for information as to the would-be assassin. She has represented Trump in multiple suits. She is not a “johnny-come-lately as a Trump supporter.
This is good for the senate and good for America.
