Joe Biden’s administration has offered a mere $770 in “one-time payments” to individuals devastated by the catastrophic wildfires in Los Angeles.
This paltry sum is a stark contrast to the billions of dollars being funneled overseas. This is a slap in the face to those who have lost homes, livelihoods, and loved ones.
The Los Angeles wildfires have wreaked havoc, resulting in at least 24 deaths and the destruction of thousands of structures. Over 150,000 residents have been forced to evacuate, with entire neighborhoods reduced to ashes.
..... Snip.....
Biden vowed that the federal government will cover 100% of disaster response costs for the next six months.
“And I want to be clear, we’re not waiting until those fires are over to start helping the victims,” Biden announced. “We’re getting them help right now, as you all know.”
“People impacted by these fires are going to receive a one-time payment of $770, one-time payment, so they can quickly purchase things like water, baby formula, and prescriptions.

I think the folks in North Carolina got $750 and a tent. Where’s the tent for the fire victims?
The bidenclown, who shut down fire-fighting air flights because his little boy the felon needed pappy out in LA.
Isn’t that the same “aid” that was offered to the NC hurricane victims? From what I have seen there were some private relief organizations that did far more in Western North Carolina than the federal government. What is FEMA for, actually?
An extra $20?
One more week...
He’s an equal-opportunity bunghole...
Yep, and they’re not suppose to spend it all in one place. The real question is ‘why didn’t FEMA give them a tent’? Maybe that’s why they got the extra twenty - no tent to live in.
If you could disband FEMA, fire the bureaucrats, an organization could show up with supplies and money to hire workers. Kind of an ad hoc relief agency. There are lots of able people in America who can do things.
Just before NC went into the deep freeze weather, FEMA pulled its temporary housing trailers out of NC. It’s not like they were needed elsewhere at the time. They just put them back into storage. Yep, Stupid sends billions to Ukraine. You don’t suppose there are some kickbacks involved in all those billions, do you?
But sending money overseas is because of Putin, Putin, Putin, Putin, Putin, Putin, Putin, Putin, Putin, Putin, Putin, Putin, Putin, Putin, Putin, right?
I guess inflation accounts for the $20 increase over what WNC Helene victims received. Or as they say, everything is more expensive in California.
$200 Billion to YouCrayne.
(Where’s the tent for the fire victims?)
I guess there’s none available except for the homeless druggies living on the sidewalks of LA.
Kickbacks from one of the most corrupt countries on the planet? No way - what's next, you think the Republic of Congo gives kickbacks to corrupt democrats or "pays" $10,000 A MINUTE for their "speeches"... YOU are so cynical jack.../s
They’re all in fancy smancy hotels. They don’t need tents. And $770 won’t cover one day of the cost where they’re staying either.
Why do we think its fedgovs responsibility to pay anyone there, anything?
Thats not a good thing if you think this is the right thing to do. Fedgov isnt insurance. Its not charity. Its not emergency funding.
This is a false comparison of foreign policy strategies with disaster response. I dont like the world welfare we fund but it has zip to do with whether fedgov is supposed to bail out people in disaster situations.
Fedgov initially never did this. They knew it wasn’t their job or in their list of enumerated powers.
Let the people of California bail out their fellow Californians. If anyone can do this its tHe California state and local governments. And charities.
That’s dinner for 4 in Malibu
“ 200 Billion to YouCrayne.”
Pshaw. 2 bil to that no good governor with the grease head
