Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) said during an interview on Sunday that then-Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) did not allow Republicans to be briefed on the terrorist threats facing the United States last year because he did not want the information to leak and damage Vice President Kamala Harris during the elections.
Britt made the remarks during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union” when asked about the subject that Republicans repeatedly brought up to Schumer last year. The topic comes two weeks after a terrorist killed more than a dozen people in New Orleans on New Year’s Day.
Britt said that she was extremely concerned about the potential for future terrorist attacks in the U.S.
“When you rewind to where this came from, in my opinion, this is a direct result of Biden’s failed policies across the world,” she said. “When you look at the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, we know that that created a vacuum. It created a vacuum that allowed ISIS-K to continue to flourish.”

The fact that this is just now coming to light indicates the treasonous nature of Democrats as well as a glaring lack of serious concern on the part of their enablers. And they wonder why distrust of ALL government is at historically high levels.......

She is right, the withdrawal was disastrous. That is a fact that can be documented.
I’m also curious about the context. My recollection is that Trump was thinking about withdrawal and got all sorts of flack. Biden comes in and orders a withdrawal - no flack for him. It’s a disaster.
Some might treat this as a simple matter, withdraw or not. However, you have to look deeper. A competent administration would spend a lot of time managing a successful withdrawal.
The devils is in the details. Socialists don’t do details.

Why didn’t Republicans in congress make a big deal about this ahead of the election 2024? Say that any terrorist attacks will be all on the ‘RAT party. Get out in front of the story.
