Could German Election Result be Annulled by European Commission?

Furious protests have erupted in Romania following the threat by former EU Commissioner Thierry Breton, saying, ‘We did it in Romania, and obviously we will do it in Germany,’ referring to cancelling the result of the German general election in February.

Speaking on television, Breton proclaimed that if the European Commission decides that the election in Germany was in some way influenced by foreign interference, they would seek to annul the result of the election in the same way they have just done with the Romanian election.

Why did European Commission annul Polish election?

The decision to cancel the presidential election in Romania further weakened public trust in state institutions and membership of the European Union, polarising voters angered by the status quo of political parties and their infighting, which led to strengthening so-called ‘hard right’ and alternative parties, who won over a third of parliamentary seats in the last vote. The Commission’s claim is that Russia had somehow influenced campaigning favouring frontrunner Calin Georgescu, but they have not yet presented any evidence of their claim.

Georgescu’s lawyer filed a request on Friday, January 10, for the Constitutional Court to reinstate the election result. Georgescu urged his supporters to do the same. Thousands of infuriated voters gathered outside the court displaying a mock coffin with the word ‘Democracy’ painted across it.

Will tweets be a reason for annulling German election result? Romania‘s ruling coalition said they would rerun the two-round presidential election on May 4 and May 18, almost six months after the annulled vote. Outgoing President Klaus Iohannis, whose term expired on Dec. 21, is to stay on as head of state until a successor is elected.

The former French commissar, known for his outbursts against freedom of expression, has manifested his absolute contempt for the sovereignty and democratic will of EU member states when commenting on the conversation that took place on X between the owner of this network, Elon Musk, and the candidate for the chancellor of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, Alice Elisabeth Weidel. The AfD had already stated they do not want or need any help from Elon Musk. Currently the AfD are polling at 20 percent in public opinion polling and rising, while the CDU/CSU are polling at 31 percent.

If the people vote for the wrong canddiate, that outcome will just have to be ignored and the right people will be installed. “Our Democracy” is just that important.

President Trump needs to strongly condemn this EUntotalitarianism publicly or he is condoning it. Enough is enough. MAGA worked hard at putting him in office and if he doesn’t stop this in Europe it will be coming here soon.

President Trump screwed up on the lockdowns and greenlighting the MRNA vaccines and I won’t forgive him another disaster like that.

Those who approved/voted the European Union and threw away their national sovreignty for illusory economic gains.

Note the dictatorial powers of the EU are not counter balanced as in the U.S. system.

Europe is falling into anti-democratic authoritarianism rapidly. Elections there are supposed to give an illusion of democracy, while the people are only allowed limited choices, all of whom will never challenge the oppressive, destructive, globalist power structure.

One would need to get the Germans to comply—and that could be a challenge.

>Those who approved/voted the European Union and threw away their national sovreignty [sic] for illusory economic gains.

I don't think that characterization is fair.

It was initially sold as an economic treaty via the European Economic Community which was then dishonestly expanded into a political treaty decades later.

arguably forcing their handing and having unhelpful german results ‘canceled’ would be the best outcome out of the possibles.

bring it all in the open.

I call this GameStop. The children are allowed to play their democracy games but if it gets out of hand the adults will come in and halt the game.

Simple answer, NO.

There are 8 primary parties, and at least 25 minor parties in the running.

Presently, polling says the CDU-CSU folks will likely win with around 30-percent of the vote. AfD presently polls at 21-to-22 percent. 3rd place is the SPD Party with 16-percent.

It would take a lot for AfD to pass the CDU/CSU, and even if they got to first place...who would they coalition with to reach 50-plus percent?

In this scenario...after a month of talks...with AfD getting no partners....the 2nd place winner would be given the chance to form, and quickly find two partners to reach the 50-percent level. Yes, it would be a weak government and likely collapse within 3 years, but they’d simply move on without any EU involvement.

Who gave the EU the power? Why the member states of course, especially the larger ones like Germany and France, they all gave up their self determination to little Nazis in Belgium.
