Ending Russia-Ukraine war will take time and effort, Mike Waltz says

Incoming national security adviser Mike Waltz said he expects President-elect Donald Trump will establish relationships “in the coming months” that will lead to an end to the Russia-Ukraine war.

Speaking Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Waltz said, “From President Trump’s perspective, you can’t enter a deal if you don’t have some type of relationship and dialog with the other side. And we will absolutely establish that in the coming months.”

On Thursday, Trump said a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin was being arranged. “He has said that even publicly and we have to get that war over with. That’s a bloody mess,” the president-elect said in remarks at Mar-a-Lago.

Host Jonathan Karl asked Waltz if the meeting would just be Trump and Putin, or whether it might also include President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine.

Trump said repeatedly during the campaign that he would be able to end the Russia-Ukraine war on his first day in office, or even earlier that that. More recently, Keith Kellogg, Trump’s pick to be a special peace envoy, set a longer timeline for ending the war.

“I would set it at 100 days,” Kellogg, a retired Army lieutenant general, told Fox News on Wednesday.

The front lines need to be stabilized before the DMZ can be established for a ceasefire.

Support Trump.

I wish he could just end this right away.

There is a strategy here. He’s not going to get Putin to the table, unless there is a threat to continue supporting Ukraine.

Waltz also said Trump will authorize Ukraine to use long range weapons on targets on Russian territory if Putin doesn’t negotiate.

Quit enabling Ukraine, and Russia will finish it up in short order.

No. It won’t. Cash for corpses long enough and you run out of corpses. Stop sending cash.

More from Waltz today on additional sanctions on Putin: "His economy and military machine will dry up very quickly. I think this will force Putin to the negotiating table. We have leverage, for example, lifting restrictions on long-range weapons, which we also provided to Ukraine.”

You are a bloodthirsty, single issue retard. The Ukraine War has been lost. It is bankrupting both Europe in the United States. We are out of weapons to provide and Russia keeps moving west along all the front lines. If you had any balls you'd volunteer yourself to fight for the Ukraine. The fact that you aren't in the Ukraine fighting means that you're just another loudmouth, contemptible, catamite sissy boy.

The Ukraine needs you, oh mighty armchair general coward.

What, give them even longer range weapons to strike the Russia homeland with?

“What, give them even longer range weapons to strike the Russia homeland with?”

The moment Trump does that, bases in Poland start to be leveled. Putin is almost certainly holding back to give Trump a chance to work with him - had it been Harris and more of Biden’s policy, we’d already be in WW3.

I do find it interesting that Trump has not said a SINGLE WORD in line with the wet dreams of Waltz or Kellogg. Something tells me that their days with Trump may well be numbered (although Kellogg has been rather quiet lately).

Re: 7 - not your site to tell a poster to “STFU”.

When you resort to that you’ve lost the argument.

Grow up.
