Two looters were arrested recently after they dressed as firefighters and entered local homes vacated in the Palisades Fire, according to information given by the Los Angeles Police Department to community members Saturday evening.
Police have arrested dozens of would-be looters who have targeted the affluent Pacific Palisades, devastated by the fire that raged last week. Many neighborhoods were destroyed, but some homes remain intact — enticing looters.
The police said that in addition to twenty looters who had been arrested in the first days of the fire, seven looters had been arrested more recently. Some 400 officers were assigned to the Palisades Fire, which began in the Palisades but has since spread west to Malibu and east to the hills overlooking Bel Air. The blaze has burned 23,654 acres thus far and is only 11% contained, as of Saturday night.

Really chilling that they say utility company uniforms and law enforcement and first responder ones allow looters to go where they please. If the non-evacuated places (lots are still around) they could be used to home invasions and rapes, too.

White people gots insurance, they get them some more stuff.
They’ll prolly be cut loose without charges just like the guy caught setting fire to a neighborhood by local residents because it’s racist.... dontcha know.
If they allowed CA residents more freedom when it comes to owning firearms, and had the same policies as Florida when it comes to looters during an emergency, these burglaries would stop pretty fast.
This happens every time there are wild fires and evacuations in So Cal - the looters quickly move in.
This is why people refuse to leave their homes, even at risk of burning to death.
So far, the death toll this morning (Jan. 13th) is 24.
