Two wounded North Korean soldiers have been captured as prisoners of war by Ukrainian troops in Russia's Kursk Oblast, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday.
The two men are receiving "necessary medical assistance" and are in the custody of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Kyiv, according to Zelensky.
The president said he was "grateful" to Ukrainian paratroopers and soldiers from the Special Operation Forces for capturing the North Koreans.
He added that "this was not an easy task", claiming that Russian and North Korean soldiers usually execute wounded North Koreans "to erase any evidence of North Korea's involvement in the war against Ukraine".

Are these not legal combatants? The Geneva Convention of course applies. NK is an ally of Russia and Russia is under attack.

One must wonder, do Russian and NORK soldiers then haul off the dead bodies after killing the wounded NORKs? I mean, a dead NORK body would constitute evidence that they are involved.

I just don’t believe Zelensky. He’s the one who kept insisting Russia fired a missile into Poland even after Biden said on national news that it was the Ukraine which fired on Poland. Nah.
I’d want to see them in public to verify they aren’t far-east Russians being passed off as Koreans for political purposes. I don’t think anyone has shown conclusive proof of NK engagement as of yet.
Why in the world would you execute POWs?
Trump’s understanding of the Ukraine War means that it will soon end, and not in Ukraine’s favor. Even if true, the Nork angle is meaningless.

Yep, the idea was for the Neocons to use the Norks as an excuse to overtly send military units into Ukraine, but in 9 days that all changes, and most likely, our covert military units will be withdrawn. So, Putin can put on a military parade of Norks just outside of Sudzha and Trump would not give a crap.

We’ve been hearing about these mysterious North Korean sightings for 6 months.
They are like Sasquatch. Lots of supposed sitings, but zero real evidence.
I’ll believe it when I see the evidence.
