Gingrich on CA Fires: ‘We’ll Never See a Clearer Example of the Total Incompetence and Destructiveness of Left-Wing Gov’t’
Breitbart ^ | 01/10/2025 | Jeff Poor

Thursday on FNC’s “Hannity,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich pointed to the local and state government incompetence in responding to the wildfires plaguing Southern California.

Gingrich called the response an example of “total incompetence and destructive of left-wing government.”

“Look, I think we need a totally new model,” he said. “I think the federal government should basically impound all the money that was going to give California and all the money that it was going to give Los Angeles, translate that into to help for the people not the governments, but take all that money so that, in fact, we’re taking all the money California wanted from the rest of the country and all the money Los Angeles wanted from the rest of the country converting it into help for the people who have been hurt — hurt precisely because the politicians in California range between radically stupid and corrupt and are controlled by the unions and the bureaucrats.”

Gingrich added, “I think this is a pretty straightforward situation. We’ll never see a clearer example of the total incompetence and destructiveness of leftwing government than we are seeing in the fires in Los Angeles tonight.”

The government was very competent when it came to protecting the smelt, a tiny fish that no one cares about. I hope all the burned down homes and lives of people were worth it.

This ought to be a point of major transformation for how people see their government. I’m glad Trump is coming in at this time. But it may be too much to ask for people to start seeing government as always the problem and never the solution. Keep money away from the government. They are always corrupt.

The past determines the future.
They are experiencing the failures of their past.
Now, they are experiencing the results.

Being experienced and living the life on the forest products industry-72 years, just a year from last June we traveled to Oceanside CA. The wife wanted to go for her birthday, so we went.
Driving there i constantly lamented that if they didnt manage the brush and improve on the fire hazards that prrsented, they WILL, WILL, suffer the result.

After the overnight at Oceanside, we traveled up the coastal highway through that area. Being a woodsman, i wouldnt have given ten cents for any peice of property there simply because of the impending risk apparent to anyone of experience in my former occupation.

THIS...WAS...A...DISASTER...IN...THE...WAITING TO HAPPEN.

Listening to the Presser given by the Mayor of L.A. and her minions, the Democratic Party is truly the party of platitudes. They have NO solutions. They just create problems. This beyotch had asked the L.A.P.D. to come up with another $49 million in budget cuts (presented in a memo just before she left for her ‘African Safari’ on a government fact finding mission. They like platitudes “you are not alone”, “We feel your pain” (I wondered how?) etc. They can take their trite platitudes and shove them up their collective ass*s.

When circumstances require a decent, rational person to have prolonged contact with a liberal Democrat, it soon becomes apparent to the rational person that the Democrat has some degree of mental dysfunction and can never be trusted with anything significant.

She finished her speech with “Us Angelinos can do everything if we stay together”...Maybe she should have plagarized the speech from the President in the movie “Independence Day”.

Guaranteed that this example will be totally lost on Democrat voters. The raging fires were due to Climate Change, dontcha know?

Incompetent and corrupt California will get the taxpayers in the other 49 states to pay for the rebuilding. Then it’s back to California’s business as usual. Elect only Democrats.

Well, its done now. Nature did what they refused to do. And, many learned the hard way. Arson or not, this would not have happened if they would have taken preventative measures.

Or have they?

We can all sit on here and piss and moan and make snide little comments but, the fact is, it happened and all we csn do is stand back and see if theyve learned...THE HARD WAY.
Lifes best teacher is through the school of hard knocks.

The LADWP, female Puerto Rican water wizard, Quinones, earning $750,000.00 defined her purpose in this statement. Pay special attention to “everything we do it’s with equity and social justice”. So she needs to explain what equity and social justice has to do with running the water and power department.

“It’s important to me that everything we do um it’s with an equity lens and social justice and making sure that we write the wrongs that we’ve done in the past”.
