Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) warned Senate Republicans not to overrule parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough if some desired border security provisions are thrown out.

Senate Republicans could seek out sweeping border policy changes that would be prohibited under reconciliation rules. Thune’s ruling should stop such a move that would step over the respected MacDonough. She’s served the Senate since 2012 and holds bipartisan praise.
Thune lauded her in 2015 when Republicans sought to repeal portions of Obamacare....

all others are held for a short time to have their papers requested from their home country—if they have none. if papers are in order, then temp passports are reissued and they are sent home. period. it’s the home countries’ problem from then on. again any hang up and all USAID is stopped and bank accounts are frozen. easy peasy.

The Parliamentarian is a person who supposedly has the power to decide what spending can be allowed in a bill. Depending upon what legislative vehicle is being used, certain spending may be disallowed. You mostly only hear about The Parliamentarian when Trump is President though. The uni-party normally passes whatever the hell spending they want.

I have to believe that it won’t work this time. It seems like there is a lot of money and power behind Trump this time. They will try to play some games but I think Trump will prevail in passing his agenda. Fair elections will solve all of our problems. That is a must.

I believe you are correct as they can no longer hide the scummy manner in which they conduct the “peoples” business.
I did a search for the Parliamentarian in the Constitution and could not find it.
That means they are just another bureaucrat—elected by nobody and accountable to nobody and therefore should be ignored by everybody.
