Ukraine has launched a counterattack in the southern Russian border region of Kursk, warning that Russia is “getting what it deserves.”
Andrii Kovalenko, the head of the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation, an official body, said Ukrainian forces had launched surprise attacks against Russian forces in several locations across Kursk, months after launching its incursion in the region.
In a short Telegram post Sunday, the head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, said: “Kursk region, good news, Russia is getting what it deserves.”
The Ukrainian military first launched an incursion into Kursk in August and has held much of the territory it took, despite efforts by Russian and recently deployed North Korean troops to drive Ukrainian units back across the border.

This war needs to end. The only victor will be death. It’s a stupid war, that was brought on by US tampering and the ego of ‘Vlad the Invader’. Further, a weak Russia does not serve the world. A strong Russia is a balance of power, balancing the ever growing menace in the south. The sharks in the south already smell the blood in the water, and look for an opportunity to usurp.
I pray that Trump can think out of the box, redefine the relationship with Russia, and end this conflict. Maybe the answer is for Russia to join NATO. Why not?
“Andrii Kovalenko, the head of the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation, an official body,”
LOL, they don’t even have a legitimate president.
Cossacks vs. Muscovites.
“Russia is getting what it deserves”
This is a truly misguided statement. Would the US deserve to fight for one of their states be undeserving of pain they didn’t create any more than if the state bailed on them? The Ukraine bailed on Russia in 1991. Same/same.

One recalls that the Biden-Harris administration brought us the whole "disinformation" -- AKA 'misinformation' -- game plan, and the rhetorical game has spread among the Lefties worldwide.
This polemic uses the old "assumptive close" sales trick of hiding premises. The premise of every misinformation entity is "we're right and you're wrong." It ha erupted in response to alternative media, all the while the legacy media and "progressives" are being challenged throughout whole nations.
Consider academia's and other entities' concerns of late:
Misinformation is all around. How can we combat it? MIT worries about misinformationMisinformation, Disinformation & Malinformation: A Guide Princeton worries about misinformation
How Misinformation Spreads—and Why We Trust It Scientific American worries about misinformation
Controlling the spread of misinformation American Psychological Association worries about misinformation Didn't believe Fauci and Pfizer? Misinformation! Didn't believe the Democrats? Misinformation! Don't believe Greta Thunberg and Al Gore? Misinformation! Don't believe the "great" economy of which Yellen speaks? Misinformation! Don't believe the PR from wither side in the current was between non-NATO Ukraine and non-NATO Russia? Misinformation!

Consider also the logical fallacy approach...
A false premise is an incorrect proposition that forms the basis of an argument
a weak Russia does not serve the world. A strong Russia is a balance of power
—
Russian, guided by Putin’s genius has become weak, so weak that China is seriously eyeing Russia’s Far East and the southern parts of Central Russia.
If Russia were to win the war or achieve a stalemate/truce, then it would, under the genius Putin, rearm and attack again.
If Russia were to lose the war, it would collapse rather quickly, with the ruble no one will take at 114 to the US dollar, a labor shortage of around 500,000, limited oil and Nat Gas exports due to sanctions, & no export market for it military goods.
The loss of Russia’s Syrian naval and air bases struck a very serious blow to its ability to project power and influence outside of Russia. Libya remain a possibility to reestablish that power, but the reality is dubious at best.
Russia joining NATO is a ridiculous proposition. Putin would have to be dead - along with the rest of his clan, and even the clan power structure would have to be destroyed to achieve that end. Not happening.
Most likely Russia will break up into its constituent Obasts whatever the outcome, becoming independent countries in their own right with Chechnya and Azerbaijan leading the way.
Why not? Because russy supports totalitarian regimes in Venezuela, Cuba, swaths of Africa and Eurasia, Vlad is in cahoots with the CHICOMS and the NORKS, and he cannot handle Islamic fundamentalists so he cozy up to them.
Why does he do this? Because he is Vlad the Vandal. A modern day Rus Viking. He takes what he can and stops when he must.
I agree with you if we focus on Russia and what it could be with a decent leader. The Russian people are our natural allies.
Rus Vikings (Kivian Rus’) where from present day Ukraine, not Russia which did not exist then as Russia, but as a tiny city state called Moscovia situated in a swamp.
A fine point, viewed from the domain of logic as opposed to the domain of marketing. Many ways of examining a problem, to be sure.
It seems those who want the "premise" to be supported require false premises, and therefore they do not want them examined more closely.
One might think from the cognitive science point-of-view, wherein a proposition is fully, somewhat or not at all "supported" -- such that the proposition is fully "knowledge" or fully "belief." So many beliefs are difficult to support as if "knowledge." Which is why they are beliefs, after all.
So much these days in politics and geopolitics is about "belief" portrayed as if knowledge. Hard to argue with fully supported knowledge, while very easy to argue from a belief.

Best wishes.
Your statement is so logically confused and syntactically disjointed that it isn't even wrong.
Regards,
This would be tantamount to someone saying, in 1989/90, that a weak Soviet Union does not serve the world, and that we need a strong Warsaw Bloc to balance power.
Putin's Russia is, at present, the greatest geopolitical menace on the world stage. Putin's Russia launched and continues to wage the bloodiest military conflict in Europe since WWII.
The sharks in the south already smell the blood in the water, and look for an opportunity to usurp.
Would you mind being a little more explicit? Though I guess that being intentionally vague might be more to your advantage.
Whatever "sharks in the south" you are referring to: We can attend to them more easily once Putin has been swept from power.

War is war.. same as it always has been. The innocent and the civilians are the highest casualties.....
I’m thinking and wondering what will be the thing that tips the scales to all out drone, missle and artillery attack on Kiev and the logistic hubs at the borders....Kiev is still standing, the infrastructure is intact, the population hasn’t fled.... but you never know.
The military industrial complex would like a word with you.
