There were two presidential campaigns in 2024: one between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, and then one between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. The first began to end, and the second began to take shape, during the Trump-Biden debate held on June 27. The story of that debate was President Biden, who looked and sounded dreadful. His performance confirmed Democrats’ worst fears and Republicans’ best argument: Joe Biden, born 11 months after the attack on Pearl Harbor, was too old and cognitively diminished to discharge his presidential duties now, much less over the course of a second term that would last beyond his 86th birthday.
The debate triggered a panic attack among Democratic politicians and supportive journalists. The next day, The New York Times ran an editorial beseeching Biden to withdraw from the race. The New Yorker, another publication that had supported Biden’s presidency, published a similar plea the following day. David Remnick, the magazine’s editor, wrote that Biden “went to pieces on CNN, in front of tens of millions of his compatriots,” who witnessed “the spectacle of a man of eighty-one, struggling terribly with memory, syntax, nerves, and fragility, his visage slack with the dawning sense that his mind was letting him down.”

Imagine someone whose only source of news about Joe Biden between 2020 and 2024 was The Daily Wire or The Washington Free Beacon, and someone else in the same period whose only source was CNN or The Washington Post. Which news consumer would have been better informed about the realities of Biden’s cognitive decline? Which one would have been less surprised that the Biden who showed up at the June 27 debate appeared, in the language of the Post’s November 8 editorial, “dazed, confused, tired and inaudible”? The answer should give many people pause.
Which group of commenters would be the most well-informed regarding Biden’s true condition? Those that comment at Yahoo News or those that comment at Free Republic?
Plus the guy has extreme mood swings and you don’t know if his fits of anger are real or contrived since he lies about everything anyway.
Joe Scarborough.
Joe Scarborough’s rant about “this being the best Biden ever” was one for the record books. I don’t see how his show (and many of the others) continue especially after the last year. Those shows have to be money-losers and that’s why I believe the media “celebrities” such as Scarborough and Maddow are paid off the books to repeat their obvious lies.
That’s funny, I’m holding my breath until Bob Woodword exposes the inner workings of the administration that propped up a senile man. I’m sure he’s working on it and it will be great when he breaks the shocking news.
That’s not even a question. The media clearly has no clothes.
NEW YORK CITY!!!
The complete and utter contempt with which Biden, drjill and his henchmen
hold Americans, thinking we’d be too stupid to notice what they knew full well:
<><>Biden going to pieces before tens of millions of voters,
<><>voters witnessing the spectacle of a demented old man unfit to be president,
<><>Biden struggling to answer, his responses a jumble of nonsense,
<><>broadcasting the truth, that Biden’s mind was AWOL.
The debate triggered a panic attack among power-crazed Democrats and obeisant journalists.
<><>A New York Times editorial begged Biden to withdraw from the race,
<><>The New Yorker published a similar plea the following day.
<><>Obama called George Clooney,
<><>voters were to be told Harris had “what it takes” to return Democrats to power.
drjill embraced the doddering Biden as the winner, gushing into the mic, "You answered every question"
as all of America was aghast at the spectacle of a failed president that they had just witnessed.

The Whitewashed “Hur Report” WRT Biden’s diminishing mental faculties
The well-rehearsed Biden’s convincing act for the gullible Hur kept Biden out of jail
Special Counsel Robert Hur is coming in for scrutiny from the press over his characterizations of President Biden’s memory. The special counsel’s report on Biden’s handling of classified information, characterized “significant limitations” in Biden’s memory during the president’s interview with Hur’s office.
Those limitations, in Hur’s view, justified a decision to decline to prosecute the president, despite Hur’s unflattering depiction of the volume of classified information discovered at his Delaware home and at the Penn Biden Center, and Biden’s mishandling of it.
Biden, Hur reasoned in his report, could be successful in presenting himself to a jury as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
But today, March 12, the full transcript of Hur’s interview with Biden was made public in advance of the special counsel’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee.
And as reporters noted, the Biden of the transcript looks quite different from the forgetful Biden described in the report.
“Biden doesn’t come across as being as absent-minded as Hur has made him out to be,” wrote the Washington Post. Both the Post and the Wall Street Journal described the transcript as “more nuanced” than the report itself in terms of what it showed about Biden’s memory.
Yet there’s an irony to the media’s criticisms of Hur in light of the transcript. Overstated though his report might have been, Hur’s interest in Biden’s age was no match for that of the mainstream press itself.
Consider how the Times and the Washington Post covered the original report. “Special Counsel’s Report Puts Biden’s Age and Memory in the Spotlight,” blared the headline of a New York Times article, which described the Hur report as a “political disaster.”
The Washington Post characterized the mood among Democrats as “hair on fire.” By one tally, the Times and the Post each published over 30 stories about Biden’s age and memory in the days following the release of Hur’s report.
“IS BIDEN’S AGE NOW A BIGGER PROBLEM THAN TRUMP’S INDICTMENTS?” asked a CNN chyron two days after the release of Hur’s report.

The total collapse of Biden is revealed in his loss of political control. That ability has been his asset through his long political career. Now he is barely hanging on. It reminds me of the play, “The Death of a Salesman.” The impact on his wife and son must be grim. All they can do is create the illusion that all is right. What is tragic is Biden thought that all of his decline will all be forgiven if he could just eliminate Trump. We saw that on the first day in office with his anti-Trump executive orders. What it accomplished was political suicide.
It’s interesting to read the failures of the media, and especially WaPo, all in one long screed. Seeing the time-line of some of the headlines regarding Biden’s dementia or lack of mental acuity reinforces the fact that legacy media is dead. Democracy Lies in Darkness indeed.
Exactly.
Typical.
If you trust the “media” you are seriously experiencing a lack of good judgement. For many, I think this movie statement holds: Truth...you can’t handle the truth.
Correct.
I trust very few in the media. Most are now retired or expired. Krauthammer, Rush, Sowell, and Tucker. I read more Substack now. There are quite a few very good writers with historical knowledge and who actually know how to use proper English.
The rest are looking for 15 minutes of fame.
Hannity used to betrusted, but got lost somewhere. FNC turned on us. Flashy headlines become medicore when you read the article.
Biden has been in cognitive decline since well be for the 2020 election. His brief campaign appearances in 2019, before he was confined to his basement because of “COVID” , showed belligerence and his being prone to angry outbursts typical of early dementia. However, the Democrats leadership fearing a Bernie Sanders sweep in the primaries and the total lack of any other viable candidates decided to make Joe the nominee and unleashed an unprecedented level of election fraud to get him elected.
Everything was focused on denying Trump a second term. I believe no one in the party expected Joe, because of his age, to run for a second term nor did anyone expect his dementia to accelerate so quickly. With Trump supposedly out of the way and discredited by farce impeachments and Trump supporters hounded by the January 6 “insurrection”, Biden became a useful idiot for a leftist cabal signing anything put in front of him and stumbling through whatever speeches were written for him. His advancing dementia was actually an advantage for the cabal as he would voice no opposition to them implementing Obama’s socialist dream for America regardless of how hurtful and distasteful it was to average Americans. The mainstream media willingly supported this agenda out of their hatred for Trump and their own desire for power and favor from the new regime.
The cabal however failed to consider the blind ambition of Jill Biden to keep her and the Biden family in power nor plan for an end game to transition to another candidate after Biden’s first term. While the media kept Biden’s increasingly obvious diminished mental capacity under wraps, Jill Biden goaded Joe into seeking a second term leading to the disastrous first debate with Trump where Biden’s senility could no longer be denied. The scheduling of the Democratic National Convention so late in the campaign season and Joe’s procrastination in deciding to end his campaign gave no time for any open primaries nor an open convention. Harris was anointed candidate out of expediency and without a single open ballot.
Now that Biden’s long term cognitive decline is manifest and blame being assigned for Harris Walz debacle, someone needs to ask who exactly was running the country for the past four years?
