HENRICO, Va. (WWBT/Gray News) - A registered nurse in Virginia was arrested after several NICU babies were found with mysterious injuries and bone fractures, according to authorities.
Erin Elizabeth Ann Strotman, 26, has been charged with malicious wounding, child abuse and neglect.
Around the end of November 2024, staff members discovered that three babies at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital NICU had unexplainable fractures, similar to an incident involving four babies in the summer of 2023, the hospital said in a post on their website.
Henrico Police confirm that Strotman’s charges stem from the Nov. 2024 investigation.

It took over a year for the hospital to start investigating the injuries and then arrest her. I wonder how many babies she harmed and the injuries went undiscovered. As a parent, I would be livid!

Worst by numbers may be the male nurse who “lost track” of how many he killed at around 400. Many of the nurses should have been noticed as having had so many in their care going out to funerals. Some moved to different states and started fresh with new false names.

The dirty secret is many nurses get fired for stuff like this and hospitals and their insurers keep it quiet, and even though it becomes known in the area a nurse works in, she can go to another state and work, because hospitals are in dire need of nurses and will turn a blind eye, until they screw up at the new place nd they have to let them go.
Many nurses steal drugs and sell them, steal supplies and sell them, get into private patients records, amd have affairs with doctors because of their schedules, stress and convenience. Out of all jobs its one of the highest for women cheaters, right up there with flight attendants and lawyers/paralegals.
