Since the "mark" in Revelation 13:16 ("χάραγμα" - "a mark") is that for a tattoo (in the Greek language) I'm guessing it might possibly be a (scan-able, duh) barcode / QR code - enabling digital transactions, tracking, identification, etc.

For those who might not know "0110" was how "6" was represented in EBCDIC binary coding (Extended Binary Coding Decimal Interchange Code) - this was the basis for IBM / Amdahl / other mainframe computers from the 1960s-early 2000s - There are still these types of machines today - this is why the movie used such a symbol to represent "666" (the binary coding by position is "8421" so "0110" actually represents "0420" - digits are added so the sum is "6"
