On Monday, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Matthew Graves announced his resignation. In a statement, Graves outlined that he will step down from his position at the Justice Department on January 16, just days before President-elect Trump takes office, and is expected to issue pardons for many January 6 defendants.
For many conservatives, this decision couldn’t have come soon enough. Graves, a key figure in the DOJ's aggressive prosecutions of the January 6 defendants, leaves behind a controversial legacy that many conservatives argue epitomizes the weaponization of the DOJ against political dissent.

good news. at least he can’t harm any more innocent Trump supporters. i hope Trump puts a fork in him before he slithersss away.
Lawyer up, cuck. You broke the law withholding exculpatory evidence.
Even if he gets a preemptive pardon by Biden, Biden was ruled too mentally incompetent to stand trial for his classified documents, if he’s too incompetent to stand trial he’s too incompetent to be issuing pardons.
Everything he has done since that declaration is invalid.
he and those working for him needs to be investigated. I want to see e-mail traffic between him and Biden officials.
I like your line of thinking.
These f**kers will all get pardons on Biden’s last day mark my words including Cheney and Bennie Thompson
Forgive my ignorance, but in regards to Biden mass pardoning all these criminals I have a question.
Can these people still be charged at a state level for state level level crimes? And other words does a pardon from Biden only apply for federal crimes?
BTTT
Sadly, don’t expect anyone within the beltway to like it enough to agree with it.
Don’t need to be prescient to see that.
I’ll be shocked if they don’t.
Lock him up and throw away the key.
Snip ... “Special Counsel David Weiss asked Graves in early 2022 to partner with his office in bringing charges against Hunter Biden for tax crimes committed in Washington in 2014 and 2015; a decision needed to be made quickly as the statute of limitations was about to expire. But Graves rejected Weiss’ request.
“On March 19, 2022, Graves met with five or six members of his office…where they decided not to partner with Weiss’s office on prosecuting the Hunter Biden case.” As a result of that decision, the report noted, “Weiss was unable to bring charges in D.C.”
Now that sort of brazen bootlicking does not go unrewarded in the nation’s capital, which is precisely why Graves is very likely Harris’ top candidate for attorney general if she wins in November.
And Graves’ cover-up of the Biden family crime racket and the continued prosecution of J6ers aren’t the only reasons why Harris would choose Graves.
All in the Commie Family Harris appears to be close to Graves’ wife, Fatima Goss Graves, president and CEO of the far-left National Women’s Law Center (NWLC), a $100 million nonprofit headquartered in Washington. According to White House visitor logs, Goss Graves has met with or attended events hosted by Harris on numerous occasions since her husband took the reins of the most powerful U.S. Attorney’s office in the country. (Logs also indicate Graves was at the Biden White House six times in March 2022 including a one-on-one meeting with one of Biden’s senior public engagement advisors at the same time her husband was figuring out how to avoid working with Weiss on the Hunter Biden matter.)”.../snip
Trump hasn’t been inaugurated yet and the swamp is already self draining.
Just for starters on his prosecutorial mis-conduct. The DC jail warden’s going to have some ‘splaining to do as well.
In his case, it does not save his law license. Disbarment can proceed.
PURE EVIL!
They were aggressive in prosecution because they thought the GOP would not have a president and Congress for at least four more years.
On January 21, 2025 Mr Graves needs to become a top 10 target of the DOJ. Investigate him and everything he has ever touched forensically. If he can possibly be charged for anything arrest him, perp walk him, and throw him in prison. Make sure to bring him before a good judge so he can be denied bail for years and put in the most abusive prison that can be found.
