A silver Maserati SUV was targeted in a shooting Saturday afternoon in Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood, according to police.
The shooting happened around 12:20 p.m. in the 10200 block of Linden Avenue North. Video captured by a person’s surveillance camera shows a Jeep almost pinned in a Maserati. The Jeep’s passenger window comes down, and the driver steps out and unloads a barrage of bullets as the Maserati speeds away. Responding officers found more than half a dozen shell casings at the scene.
“Seeing it right outside my neighbors house 12:15 in the afternoon, it just enraged me really,” said Andrew Steelsmith, who shared the video of the shooting to social media.
No injuries were reported, and officers could not locate either vehicle during a search of the area.
Steelsmith says another shooting had happened outside the same house earlier this year. It’s part of an ongoing rash of gun violence he has seen in the neighborhood for years.
Some of it is in the immediate vicinity of Aurora Avenue, the corridor that has been nearly synonymous with gun violence and prostitution. He and several neighbors have a network of cameras capturing the issues.
The shooter’s face in Saturday’s shooting is relatively visible in the video Steelsmith posted. Steelsmith even identified where he thinks the suspect hangs out, but Steelsmith doesn’t believe that is a deterrent.
“It’s someone that we’ve been warning police about,” Steelsmith said.
“They don’t care, they’re not hiding anything,” he said of the suspect caught on video. ”They’re obvious about it, they’re untouchable they don’t care any videos of shootings any vidoes of they’re chasing women into the middle of aurora, it’s all notoriety for them they like the attention because the police can’t do anything.”

The video shows the shooter’s license plate, as well as his face. Even the wokest police department should have taken the shooter into custody by now.

LOL So prostitution is the problem, not drugs or [gasp] gangs. Does the City provide maps of "Areas of Prostitution?" I assume those could be quite popular with some people. Doesn't help much if you live or work there though.

After cars were repeatedly rammed by a driver, someone else driving on the wrong side on a freeway at 90 mph and causing a serious accident, or someone beating a bystander with a wrecking bar for asking him to stop beating another woman bloody.

Aurora Av (aka SR99) is the sin strip running N-S through Seattle (SeaTac north to Mukilteo). Pretty much anywhere along there falls into that zone.
That particular area (from 85th to 145th) on Aurora is known as ‘the cesspool of the north end’. I grew up 6 blocks from 102 + Linden. Use to ride my bike around there. Google ‘Aurora Ave in Seattle’. You’ll get videos of hookers (although most of the videos are up at 125th). Ya, pretty lousy area now.
He’s ‘outraged’, if he and his neighbors were so outraged they would maybe use their legally owned(for now, it is Washington after all) guns to stop the felonious attacks, especially since the police and government there are incapable of stopping them.
