Russian government says it is willing to improve ties—but onus is on Trump to make first move

Russia is willing to work with President-elect Donald Trump to help improve relations with Ukraine so long as the U.S. makes the first move, Kremlin officials said this week, adding fresh momentum for the possibility of peace talks as its war in Ukraine threatens to stretch into a third year.

Speaking to reporters Thursday in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reiterated that Russia could be ready to come to the negotiating table regarding its "special military operation" in Ukraine— echoing the phrasing used by the Kremlin to describe its war in Ukraine — so long as the U.S. acted first.

"If the signals that are coming from the new team in Washington to restore the dialogue that Washington interrupted after the start of a special military operation [the war in Ukraine] are serious, of course, we will respond to them," Lavrov said in Moscow.

But he stressed that the U.S. should move first, telling reporters that "the Americans broke the dialogue, so they should make the first move."

Makes sense to me - we initiated the war, we might as well take the first steps to end it.

"the Americans broke the dialogue, so they should make the first move."

Lavrov saying this, is a "move" of sorts.

Good.

Perhaps take a page out of Ronald Reagan’s book. "We begin bombing in five minutes."

Since the USA state department, DoD and CIA scum guiding NATO all started all this fiasco decades ago, it is only fitting that President Trump as Commander-In-Chief rectify this situation. He’ll do it.

The entire world already revolves around Trump...

In the context you mean, Yes it does.

More importantly, President Trump is seen as Trustworthy while still very Pro American and Pro Freedom, a very important perception among Foreign nations and Foreign Diplomats.

President Trump will Make America Great Again, including America's Reputation and Honor!

Trump threatened Putin.

Trump threatened to ‘bomb Moscow’ if Russia invaded Ukraine.

Yes it is good, Presidents and Diplomats should make "moves", Discussions, Visits, Meetings where they both speak AND listen.

Negotiation in Earnest should come from both (or all) sides.

That likes an estranged husband or wife saying, "Sure, I'll get back together with my ex...but he/she has to make the first move."

YOU (estranged husband or wife) just made the first move.

One of the President Trump’s first moves, which will have wide ranging effects in the United States, and throughout the world, will be Drill Baby Drill.

Idiotic Germany turned off all of the electricity generated by nuclear power. Now the German Wizards of Smart are planning four natural gas powered electricity plants, and are digging coal. Besides returning the United States to inexpensive energy, countries that shake off the Globull Hoax will benefit.

I, too, believe President Trump will succeed.

The same scum fought and undermined President Reagan when he brilliantly used Trustworthiness and The US Economic Might to Peaceably dissolve the Soviet Union, without firing a shot or losing a soldier in conflict.

You are correct, a strong and wide Energy Economy will bolster a Strong Overall US Economy, the very best "weapon" available.

President Ronald Reagan, possibly the only modern President greater than President Trump!

Of course Reagan was using his brilliant "educational" humor in the comment "We begin bombing in five minutes.", mostly to make seditious Democrats soil their trousers.

President Trump DOES negotiate, he has a lifetime of negotiation.

I believe he also has a good memory, and can remember the time Zelensky cooperated with the Prog Socialist Democrat Traitors to try to Frame Him with working for a corrupt Nazi Ukraine Prosecutor.
