An uproar is taking place on X over reports Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his entourage have spoiled the fun at southern BC ski resort.

The reports have yet to be verified.

"I have never been so angry after a day at Red Mountain," said a social media user of his recent experience at the Rossland-area ski hill.

"Some self-important big shot showed up with an entourage of security, and they absolutely ruined the entire experience for everyone else. This guy and his goons thought they were too good to wait in line, cutting ahead of families and kids like they owned the lifts. I don't know who he was, but the arrogance was disgusting. Who the hell shows up to a public ski hill and acts like that?"

In all reality, the 2024 election results were immeasurably different to what you posted.
The NDP got 47 seats, the Conservatives 44, and the Green party got 2.
The Liberals? Zero.

Provincial parties and national parties don’t always coincide in Canada. The Conservative Party wins seats in BC in the national elections, but in BC in provincial elections, the provincial Conservative Party went for years without winning seats, and the more conservative voters voted for BC’s Liberal Party. The BC Liberals now call themselves BC United. The leaders of that party do not see eye-to-eye with Trudeau. It’s confusing, I know.

I’m guessing Trudeau is not up for election soon. Usually the leader wants to endear his people, not piss them off.

Not sure where you got your results from. Per the House of Commons website, there are currently 14 Conservative MPs, out of 42 BC MPs, in the House of Commons.

Included in this group is Tamara Jansen, who won the by-election held December 16, 2024, in Cloverdale-Langley City. I believe she got 63% of the vote, in a 6 person race.
