President-elect Donald Trump has assembled the wealthiest presidential administration in modern history, with at least 13 billionaires set to take on government posts.
They include a wrestling magnate, a private space pioneer, a New York real estate developer, the heir to a small appliance empire, and the wealthiest man on the planet -- with several being donors and close personal friends of the incoming president.
In total, the combined net worth of the wealthiest members of his administration could surpass $460 billion, including Department of Government Efficiency co-head Elon Musk -- whose net worth of more than $400 billion exceeds the GDP of mid-sized countries. Vivek Ramaswamy, the other DOGE co-head is estimated to have a net worth of $1 Billion.
Even discounting Musk and Ramaswamy, Trump's cabinet is still expected to be the wealthiest in history, with reported billionaires Howard Lutnick nominated as commerce secretary, Linda McMahon nominated as education secretary, and Scott Bessent nominated as treasury secretary. Together, Trump's expected cabinet is worth at least $7 billion.
Trump's ambassador picks also include several billionaires, including financier Warren Stephens, who has been tapped to serve as the ambassador to the United Kingdom, Conair executive Leandro Rizzuto Jr., tapped to serve as the ambassador to the Organization of American States, Charles Kushner, named the ambassador to France, and Tom Barrack, named the ambassador to Turkey.
"It's not a surprise that [Trump] surrounds himself with people who come from the same world that he does," said Jordan Libowitz, vice president of communications for the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. "The billionaire class of businessmen is who he is and who he wants to be seen as, and who he wants to be seen with."

So a culture of very successful people who don’t like to lose. What’s the problem?
Looks like we’re giving the one world government a challenge
RE: What’s the problem?
There ought to be none... except, this will be used by detractors to accuse him of making policies to benefit the wealthy to the detriment of the working class.
Tax cuts? Elon, Vivek et al. don’t need them but they’ll benefit anyway <-— so the usual accusations go. You’ll hear this being repeated once again next year.
The clowns claiming to have a problem with billionaires—are billionaires.
They are rich and probably CEOs..
AKA the lefts new boogiemen.
These billionaires are volunteers. They are not there for the money.
Contrast with the usual politicians who go to Washington to get rich from corruption.
Envy. Envy. Envy. Envy. Envy. Envy. Envy. Envy. ...
A cabinet that is not for sale, cannot be bribed or bought. I fail to see the problem.
Isn't the Trump adminstration, the government headed by Trump ? That's a good thing.
It will be great to have people in the government who know how to manage the country's (taxpayers') money, for a change!
...and they all made their money by earning it and NOT stealing it from the government
.... LOL .... The Left and RINO's don't like this because the monetary incentive to fall in line and do as they are oedered .... Doesn't work with people that don't need some extra cash ...
.
They are showing their cards in how they plan to attack Trump.
So was it ok for Pritzker to be in Obama’s cabinet? At least the Trump billionaires mostly made their own money.
They risked their wealth and their lives to support the Revolution.
The rich/wealthy are the investment class, and they’re the ones that make the economy hum.
Whereas democrats talk about making the economy grow from the bottom up, middle out. That’s how economies in the third world operate, and they remain third-world economies.
Let the poor and middle class take over the economy, and the U.S. becomes a third-world economy in no time.
It may sound ugly to democrats, but trickle-down economy is what makes economies thrive. Top-down works. And the people at the top got there by making intelligent decisions and investing their wealth wisely. Let those with the economic wisdom help run the economy, and everybody benefits.
You’re describing an oligarchy. Keep sucking up to your masters and see where that gets you.
There is a huge difference between people who make money and people who steal money.
Biden and Obama steal money.
Musk, Trump and Vivek make money.
😂
The big diff is that those actually did something useful to earn their fortunes.. We all are still searching for things useful done by any of the Biden Crime Family and Syndicate.
