Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX) was AWOL for months. She was “missing”—no one knew where she was, which was made more conspicuous apparently with the mountain of missed votes. Calls to her office went straight to voicemail. When Congress was barreling toward a total shutdown this week, which has been averted, Dallas Express wanted to know how Congresswoman Granger would vote on the continuing resolution. They found her office locked, with no staff in sight. Now, we know where she has been for weeks: an assisted living facility that specializes in those living with dementia.

TERM LIMITS.
Those that voted for her are just as brain dead as she!
Why didn’t her staff say something? Fishy
People say the voters are the term limiters.
But what happens when people aren’t really voting but think they are?
Term limits might be a good idea. It will suck when you get a really good one though. Like...... uh.... well...
Never mind.
They would have given up paycheques if they had said something.
My mother has dementia. She literally doesn’t know how bad her memory is. She forgets that she forgot.
That’s what I thought. Is EVERYONE in DC dishonest???
I would imagine at least 6 months prior to Nov 2022 (her last election)...the family and staff knew her problems. The campaign was probably on ‘automatic’ and zero necessity for her to make public appearances.
As for what the staff was doing for the 18 months? Unknown.
That is a good line from a standup comedy.
“Is EVERYONE in DC dishonest?”
I think it’s a requirement
That’s how one of my grandmas was: The lights were on, but no one was home.
“Those that voted for her are just as brain dead as she!”
Agreed.
It’s reminiscent of former senators Thad Cochran (R-MS), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and of course, Joe Biden.
Same reason the POTATUS’s staff didn’t say anything.
I did not know that. But the last time I talked to her she asked when we were moving back to the US from Hong Kong. We’ve been back in the US for five years.
She forgets why she is in the facility. It is just so sad.
Sad but true...Like the guy that was hospitalized and never told anyone he’d be away...Was it Austin?
It’s kinda odd that the congressional pharmacy does not reveal what medicines/drugs are used by congress.
Although HIPPA forbids releasing medical records of individuals, it does not forbid combined statistical data stripped of identifying data.
So what drugs? Anti-dementia? STD treatments? Anti-depressants? Anti-psychotics?
Yup.
Did voters know that she was demented and in a facility like this?
I would not call the voters brain dead ,if the voters had no idea , because this information was kept from the public.
