MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday, when asked if current events amounted to a world war 3, advised against sowing scare but admitted that dangers were growing and Russia's opponents were escalating the situation.

"You know, there is no need to scare anyone. There are many dangers, they are growing. We can see what our current opponent is doing — they are escalating the situation. If that's what they want, fine," Putin told Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin.

"We will always respond to any challenge. Always. When our current opponents and possible partners hear, understand and realize this, then I believe the understanding will emerge that it is necessary to seek compromises," the president said.

On Russia's Relations With Other Countries

Russia will build ties with other counties only on the basis of the interests of the Russian state, the president also emphasized.

"If we establish relations with someone, we will do so only on the basis of the interests of the Russian state," he told the journalist.

Answering the question regarding the possibility for improving relations between Russia and the United States, Putin said that "everything can be done, if there is a desire."

"We have never lost our desire," he added.

At the same time, Putin noted that Russia is "ready to find compromises, but not to the detriment of our own interests."

On Russia's History Lessons

When Russia's potential diminished during the leadership of former officials, other countries chose to knock Moscow down rather than admit it as an equal participant in the "civilized" world, President Putin recalled.

"As soon as Russia's potential diminished, the country weakened and others started to finish it off, rather than make it an equal partner and participant in the civilized world. Unfortunately, this is the way the world operates, at least for........

Russia has threatened to nuke us for the past few hundred red lines that have been crossed.

No need to fear Russia, for it has never been aggressive to its neighbors and never invaded any country. Its nuclear weapons and war machine, are for peaceful purposes.

LOL. Do you ever listen to yourself? The US deep-state only has two neighbors, so it instead travels thousands of miles from our shores to invade nations, and make the world safe for globohomo and Democrat corruption.

LOL. Do you ever listen to yourself?

LOL...

Do you engage your brain before reading a post and then commenting?

My post was meant as sarcasm and humor, because, Russia is the complete opposite of what I said in that post.

The US deep-state only has two neighbors,

Do you ever listen to yourself? ;)

In today's world, every country has all other countries as neighbors. Sharing a border is not the only way that countries are 'neighbors'.

so it instead travels thousands of miles from our shores

Check your knowledge of the world and update it.

The U.S. doesn't have to travel thousands of miles from our shores. We are already just about everywhere, and that's been the case for about 80 years, since WW2.

to invade nations,

Which countries have we 'invaded'?

and make the world safe for globohomo

What's a globohomo and why are you hung up on the term and whoever those people are?

and Democrat corruption.

Is there any republican corruption? Corruption is not a one-way street, you know.

But, isn't the world much better off with American intervention when needed? We have 'relative peace' with no world wars since the U.S. became the de-facto policeman of the world. Don't you think that Russia and China and other hostile countries would've been more aggressive to their neighbors and others, if the U.S. was not there to hold them off?

The U.s. hasn't always been welcome in many places, but the world is much better off because we 'are there'.

Translation: Russia will only compromise and "establish relations" on its terms and nobody else's.

Or in other worse, NO COMPROMISE AT ALL!

The Putin whining is just that.
Russia has been driven from existence in the Med.

Russia lacks the capability and wherewithal to start much less sustain WW III.

Presently, Russia isn’t

The USA and Russia are only 2.4 miles apart, North of the Bering Strait in the Diomede Islands, around Alaska’s Seward Peninsula and Russia’s Chukchi Peninsula.
