US: We struck Houthi missile storage facility in Sana'a

The Yemeni channel Al-Masirah, affiliated with the Houthi rebel group, reported a strike in Sana'a, the capital of Yemen.

According to reports, the international coalition is behind the strike.

CENTCOM reported: "US Central Command (CENTCOM) forces conducted precision airstrikes against a missile storage facility and a command-and-control facility operated by Iran-backed Houthis within Houthi-controlled territory in Sana'a, Yemen, on Dec. 21 Yemen time."

"CENTCOM forces conducted the deliberate strikes to disrupt and degrade Houthi operations, such as attacks against US Navy warships and merchant vessels in the Southern Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb, and Gulf of Aden.

"During the operation, CENTCOM forces also shot down multiple Houthi one way attack uncrewed aerial vehicles (OWA UAV) and an anti-ship cruise missile (ASCM) over the Red Sea. The operation involved US Air Force and US Navy assets, including F/A-18s.

Leave this to Israel, dammit! We can bomb a missile storage facilities with the best of them. In fact, we are the best of them at this point. Had plenty of practice. The US should not involve itself directly with these penny ante hooligans.

I think the Egyptians need to talk to Saudi Arabi, Oman, Yemen and Somalia about profit sharing from the Suez Canal. It’s those basket case nations had a share in the wealth from all that traffic going through the canal then they probably wouldn’t be shooting missiles at the ships attempting to transit.

The Suez Canal isn’t bringing in any great revenues. It should, but it isn’t. Egypt needs that, and the tourist trade, and the cotton crop, just to fail at making ends meet.

This isn’t one of those times. They’re lobbing missiles at Israel, too. One of them hit Jaffe and injured a bunch of people in a park on Friday.

We don’t need the practice. We get too much of it, and if you want to practice, do it on an uninhabited island somewhere. Bombing the Houthis for practice is like practicing swimming in a tar pit or a cesspool. Easy to get into, very hard to get out of.

One source for all the missiles sailing over the Red Sea and the Med, and that’s the Houthis. Since they attack us, too, and we’re already up to our necks in war, let us handle this. Stay on the bench, you guys.

We don’t need to be in the middle east. Anything we need shipped from Asia can be shipped to the West Coast of the USA. And we don’t need any oil from there either.

Europe on the other hand does need shipping to go thru the Suez and needs their oil. They need to step up and defend themselves. We should not be footing the bill with our money or the lives of our troops.

At best we just need to stop the nuts in Iran from getting Nukes and the any crazy terrorist trying to attack the USA. If that is the case we can just bomb them to the stone age and cut of their money.

I agree about letting proxies do this kind of work. For that to happen, we need to sell (not give) bombers to Israel, and possibly the Saudis as well. They are both currently limited to fighters with limited carrying capacity and have to refuel in flight. Sell Israel some of our B-2s and they can take Yemen and Iran for us.
