French President Emmanuel Macron is reportedly leading efforts to deploy a European force of up to 100,000 troops to Ukraine as peacekeepers in the event of ceasefire deal brokered by incoming President Donald Trump.

According to a report from Reuters, President Elect Trump impressed upon Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a meeting on the sidelines of the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral earlier this month that American troops will not play a role in guaranteeing the safety of Ukraine following any peace deal negotiated with Moscow.

Yeah right. Putin will not agree to 100,000 NATO troops in Ukraine as “peacekeepers.”

This ten year proxy war is primarily about NATO expansion.

“Macron Lobbies for European Peacekeeping Force to Be Deployed to Ukraine After War”

What Macron is finding is that there are TWO CONDITIONS other countries are making on stationing troops in Ukraine, either of which are acceptable:

1. Russia approves.
2. The US will step in if things get hot again in Ukraine.

For the first, not happening, Russia pretty much tried that with Minsk 2 in 2014 (not formally Western troops, but plenty of ‘informal’ training and other operations) and it just led to war 8 years later. For the second, not happening for the next 4 years, at a minimum, due to Trump’s aversion to ‘nation-building’ - he’s going to let Russia have a shot at it this time.

So, sorry Ukraine, you’re on your own now, as the US, Poland, and probably many other countries will no longer be sending you any weapons. Best try to make nice with Russia, although political assassinations aren’t winning you any friends in the incoming Trump Administration.

The Russians aren’t going to sign onto that.

The best and cheapest thing to rein in Russia is to free up impounded Russian Euros over time. Russia can’t spend 300 billion Euros all at once anyhow.

It will end up being NATO and China and be a horrid tinderbox of spies, criminality, and corruption waiting to break out into a hot war.

I preceded the news when I described yesterday France’s readiness to send troops to Ukraine.

There will be many enthusiastic EU nations ready to participate in sending troops. Like Poland, the Baltic States, most probably the Brits. France will lead the effort.
Great to see some courage again in the West.

“Peacekeeping”. Sure, uh huh. More like a clear path to NATO troops firing up WWIII. These people are insane.

The EU is already paying more than America when it comes to military and civilian help to Ukraine.

You can’t have peace if you don’t give Ukraine security garanties. Trump hinted about that already.
That’s why European nations will have to send troops, to protect the peace deal Trump is hoping for.

No. So called "peace keepers" just pour fuel onto the flaming sh*t show. They don't do anything but fatten up contractors who invariably glom onto lucrative contracts. No. Just no.

5% of the Pentagon budget destroyed 50% of the Russian military. A bargain basement close out.

It's important to get a large Blue Helmet presence in Nazi Ukraine.

The Frogs need a force to protect Children's Prostitution and Pedophilia Organizations.
