So, like 1,540 pages of additional BS AND 7 pages of required verbiage then?

This has nothing to do with Johnson. The GOP probably doesn’t have more than 30-40 House members who actually have any interest in fiscal responsibility. They are all about spending billions of dollars in their own districts.

We think that our voice matters, but in reality, it doesn’t.

Yep . That way a bunch of money comes back to them in the form of campaign contributions, jobs for family and associates and future investment opportunities.

Another assistant Democrat. I have posted several times that when the Democrats win they smile because they are in control. When the Republicans win the Democrats smile because they are still in control.

Geeze, when I went to The Federalist website the first thing I saw was a pop up ad asking for donations ... Really?

The Federal Government needs to be Stocktoned.

July 2012, Stockton, CA became the largest city in U.S. history to file for bankruptcy. The Democrat Party lost every court case they initiated trying to stop it and they took it to the highest court they could. They refused to take the last step by taking the case to the Supreme Court because they knew if they lost that case (they would have!), it would be game over for every Democrat run city and state.

Declare bankruptcy, 50% cut to pay and benefits to all government paychecks, and no Federal worker can receive a retirement check until the age of 62 at the earliest, just like taxpayers.

Johnson is not a dictator. He can’t whip votes like Pelosi. Elect more MAGAS

Trump and his supporters certainly have massive influence over the Republican majority in Congress.

If these kind of bills keep being promised after Trump becomes President, it will fatal to the careers of most Republicans that refuse to reign in spending.

Big topic—good question.

Ask DOGE how they expect to work in the real world of Congressional spending insanity.

This is a repost from another thread.

My commentary is probably more pertinent to this thread.

I don’t believe in Santa Claus and unlike the Federalist, I do NOT believe there are TWO distinct parties in mighty opposition.

Labels and posturing don’t matter, RESULTS do.

The repost,

There is ONLY one party in America and Trump ain’t a member.

For lack of a better name, it will be called the Uniparty.

There are three branches of gubmint and the leaders of these branches number twelve.

Nine in the judicial branch, one in the executive branch, and two in the legislative branch.

The sheeple will tell you that the President and the two congressional leaders currently belong to the same party.

Has anyone read what was supposedly penned by China Mitch and that has come out in the past few days.

Mitch has clearly went public with all we knew to be true.

He and Trump share more differences than agreements when it comes policy.

Common sense tells you they are not on the same page and they are only in the same party because Trump staged a hostile takeover over of the Republican Party ballot slot by winning the primaries and the nomination in 2016.

So what is the purpose of this Uniparty.

The Uniparty has no purpose other than to keep the gubmint from being shutdown.

Ever notice when a shutdown is avoided how both wings of the Uniparty claim victory.

And the sheeple swallow it hook, line, and sinker.

The gubmint is run for the pleasure and profit of those who operate it, nothing more.

Representing the will of the citizenry not frustrating that will was the original purpose of self-government.

The Uniparty is committed to the uncontrolled and unsustainable growth of the social welfare state, the corporate welfare state, and the military industrial complex.

And they are well paid by each entity for their commitment.

Maybe Trump has found in Elon and Vivek fellow compatriots who can help him drain the swamp like Hercules cleaned out the Augean Stables.

I am not confident of that, merely hopeful, which is a characteristic of my faith that is founded upon the righteous will triumph over the evil in the end.

But this continuing resolution like all those before it stinks to high Heaven.

No s**t salesman of either wing of the Uniparty whether it be Pelosi or Johnson can sell it as anything other than what it is.

Just wait because the best is yet to come when the new Congress refuses to fund the border wall.
