WASHINGTON -- The Environmental Protection Agency on Wednesday granted two requests from California to enforce strict standards for vehicle emissions, including a rule aimed at banning sales of new gasoline-powered cars in the state by 2035. The incoming Trump administration is likely to try to reverse the action.
The California rule is stricter than a federal rule adopted this year that tightens emissions standards but does not require sales of electric vehicles.

Sick the DOGe on them!!!
Gavin can be the gas czar.
The EPA, so how how many divisions do they have?
this surpasses the EPAs authority.
per the constitution outside government’s reach.
pursuit of happiness and all
The EPA will have new priorities starting 1/20/2025.
The only thing the EPA protects is authoritarian top-down government.
I thought SCOTUS decided this year that regulatory agencies, such as the EPA, cannot make law...???
The EPA needs to stop the BLM and the NFS from putting all of that smoke into the atmosphere every wildfire season.
The EPA does not have that authority (and the EPA is filled with hand-picked, extremely radical, gas/oil hating activists) to dictate what can and can’t be done by a state. These are not unbiased govt employees (thank you Obama). Normal people can not work at the EPA b/c it is too insane.
And the Chevron case.
Let them.
The only way to defeat a liberal is to give them everything they want....................
I hope trump lets it ride. The only way they will learn from their stupidity is through hard life experiences.
Not good enough. I want them to ban even mere POSSESSION of a gas vehicle, by Jan 1, 2025
If the voters of a state elect officials who want to ban the sale of something in that state, shouldn’t they be able to do that no matter how stupid it is?
Under what statutory authority?
Perhaps ICE car owners in states that refuse to license them can turn to the federal government for cheap registration and plates?
Add gasoline and Diesel engines to the 2nd Amendment.
Exactly- Chevron Deference is dead. But it was so engrained that these agencies just don’t get it, are revolting, or are just in denial.
I’m STILL not finding a line item in Art 1 Sec 8 that gives the FedGov the power to have an EPA to begin with...
