MOSCOW (Sputnik) - US President-elect Donald Trump said on Monday that Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky should be prepared to make a deal to end the conflict.
"He should be prepared to make a deal," Trump told reporters at Mar-a-Lago.
Trump added that his team is going to talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Zelensky about ending the conflict in Ukraine.
"We'll be talking to President Putin, and we'll be talking to Zelensky and representatives from Ukraine," Trump told reporters.
Trump also mentioned that during the reopening of Notre Dame in Paris he had been approached by Zelensky.
"He would like to have peace. He wants peace," Trump said.
Trump added he might reverse the decision by the Biden administration to allow Ukraine to use US-supplied long-range missiles for strikes deep into Russia, calling it a “bad thing”.

So what does "Z" get....a corridor for shipping goods.
A new contract for gas for themselves and for the countries who wish to import gas via the Ukraine pipelines. Ukraine makes big bucks from countries using their lines.
How much of Kursk Oblast would you recommend the Kremlin cede to Ukraine as part of this deal?

And after a little pondering...the two areas, Crimea and Donbas, SHALL BE annexed to Russia.
Trump can talk all he wants, it’s going to be the same Deal Putin offered from the very beginning and nothing else.
Putin and Russia will be not be ceding any land at all, they will take the Russian Regions of Ukraine, the Crimea, etc. and leave what is left of Ukraine as a Security buffer Zone and no NATO.

He won’t get a DMZ if it is guarded by Brits, Poles and French soldiers. And that DMZ comes with a codified defense pact.
That is basically NATO without calling it “NATO”.

How? We going to send them weapons we don’t have left? We going to try sanctions? We going to get involved in the war? We going to spend them into oblivion with a defense buildup?
When Reagan did it the national debt was 980 billion. Now its North of 36 Trillion and the world saw us use the reserve currency and SWIFT as a military weapon.
BRICS isn’t going away.

Zelensky will make a deal because a President Trump is about to cut off his supply line. He should be arrested and charged as a war criminal.
Now the next point is that since Zelensky suspended elections, he isn’t a legitimate President and cannot make any deals. I would say a new election must happen before any deals are made.

What you just suggested is nonsensical. It would make Trump look like Putin’s poodle. Clearly, Trump would never want that because he wants to be seen as a winner, not a loser accepting everything the aggressor dreams about.
Remember, Trump is not the kind of guy who will defund the police in America or support New York’s woke culture of letting thieves and crooks out of prison every week.
Trump is for Law and Order. He will not let Putin get away with all the theft he has committed in Ukraine - 17% of a whole country! Indeed, Trump is against corruption. Trump is against theft in America and he is against theft committed by America’s enemies against America’s allies. He is a logical man.
Trump talked about a deal. A deal will be costly for both Russia and Ukraine.
If it’s only costly for Ukraine its not a deal anymore, it’s a surrender. Trump talked about a deal, not a surrender.
Trump is also a businessman. He knows that Ukraine is overfilled with natural resources. He doesn’t want the IRAN - Russia - North Korea - China - Alliance to get their hands on all that immense fortune. If he let all that go to the Islamists and Commies (the alliance I mentioned above) it would drastically diminish America’s position in the world.
It’s not a humiliation Trump is ready to endure.
