Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter 'enabled the second American revolution'
X ^ | Dec 14 | Naval and Elon Musk

@naval

Elon’s purchase of Twitter was the single most consequential act of the last decade.

It restored free speech, broke the Overton window, and enabled the second American revolution.

@elonmusk

May or may not be most consequential – history will be the judge – but probably within the top 5.

Buying Twitter caused me mega pain, but it had to be done to ensure humanity took the good fork in the road.

Prayer for all progress and momentum to be sustained and maintained.

Wonder what the Bluesky dent will be on social discourse and coming elections if any.

There’s a reason why freedom of speech and press were at the top of the Bill of Rights. Together, they create the ability to organize opposition to tyranny, as the Founders knew.

And “freedom of the press” is not about giving special rights to a self-appointed “journalist elite”, it’s about protecting the right of common people to broadly disseminate their opinions. Musk did that when he stopped censorship and cancellations on Twitter. All it takes is having ONE broad forum to connect people with.

I think “X” came along just in time to make Trump’s re-election “too big to rig”.

Way I see it, without Musk buying Twitter and returning free speech, plus solidly backing Trump with rallies etc and million dollar giveaways, Trump would probably not win.

I think I’m - and the world - are relieved Trump won.

There was a lot at stake.

The only good thing about it is Trump’s victory.

But Elon only did it because he knew he was under investigation by the DOJ as of October of last year, maybe earlier than that, and needed to pick a political party so he could cry “political repression!” when the indictments come down.

He’s going to face indictment pretty soon over the fraud he engaged in with the Twitter deal—because Elon just can’t help himself from doing some kind of fraud.

The biggest fraudster in American history is Barrack Hussein Obama along with his evil crew. The only thing I could figure is that they wanted to bring America down. Thank you to Elon and to President Donald J Trump for bringing this evil doer down. We have our American Republic back. Let’s see if we can keep it.

Ridiculous, inane post of the day?
Yup.
There was no “fraud he engaged in with the Twitter deal”.
He actually said he was walking away from the deal, until some corrupt Biden judge in Delaware forced him to buy it.
Dems thought they were going to make Musk overpay for Twitter and make him less wealthy.
Blew up in their face.
Musk is far richer now than he was then. Stop crying because Kamala LOST!

I would argue the stolen election of 2020 and the decision to induce mass murder via Covid 19 had far greater consequences. And of course I mean severely damaging negative consequences

I tend to agree. And if Musk was the Man of the Year - I would be just fine with that.

No one upstages Donald Trump.

And this has been promoted to the Front page!

Trump's performance in the election (without Musk buying Twitter) would have been similar to Kari Lake in Arizona.

Popular with his base. But so what? You're not going to win elections with that alone.

It was vital to the 2024 election. And don’t miss the video of Jordan Peterson interviewing Elon Musk last Summer, when Musk gives a bunch of background about his son “dying” by being trooned by his ex and California doctors, then says “So I vowed to destroy the woke mind virus after that.”

Incredibly revealing moment from Musk. When you think of the outsized influence he has had on events in the last year, think of this.

Watch for about 3m starting here:
