On Wednesday, Christopher Wray announced that he is resigning as director of the FBI.
"After weeks of careful thought, I've decided the right thing for the bureau is for me to serve until the end of the current administration in January and then step down," Wray announced. "My goal is to keep the focus on our mission — the indispensable work you're doing on behalf of the American people every day. In my view, this is the best way to avoid dragging the bureau deeper into the fray, while reinforcing the values and principles that are so important to how we do our work."

If you assumed Christopher Wray’s resignation meant a quiet exit, think again. Reports suggest Wray is actively promoting loyalists within the bureau, embedding establishment figures even deeper into the FBI. The move appears to be a calculated effort to sabotage Kash Patel’s expected plans to overhaul the agency and implement meaningful reforms at the nation’s top law enforcement institution.
Sources within the bureau said Mr. Wray has begun promoting employees among the senior executive service, those who serve within the bureau’s leadership. These sources described this as an effort to burrow establishment figures deeper within the FBI.
Sources said a plan is being formulated to delay the new FBI director’s entry into the agency for three to four months.
Given the FBI’s tense history with Mr. Trump since the 2016 presidential campaign, such a strategy is risky.

The senior executive service needs to be ended and all of the MFs fired. This should be a priority. That’s the swamp right there.
I’m sure Mr. Katel has a plan to deal with that, like firing everybody on the first day that he is able to.
Lots of documents to shred. That’s why he is staying on into January instead
of resigning now.
Where are all those great FBI agents Hannity always talks about?
Why aren’t they leaking? They are no where to be found.
And Trump and Kash are preparing to expose Wray for the snake he is.
This can only happen if the scum in the Senate delay his confirmation unnecessarily. The new Congress is sworn in on Jan. 3. They would have two full weeks before the inauguration to get Kash and other nominees through their committee hearings, then schedule the confirmation votes on the floor. But if they want to backstab the incoming administration like they did in 2017, the Senate will drag their feet on all of the nominees.
Destroying documents illegally is one thing that could create criminal liability.
Everybody Wray promotes will be fired. The guy isn’t too bright. He’s just a deepstate tool. The deepstate hires evil yes men.
yep, every single person promoted under Biden should be immediately fired.
And if it’s difficult to fire anyone, they should be transferred to the new branch office in North Dakota. The one with no computers or telephones or wi-fi.

So what? are they not as fireable as any other public servant?
Declare the position of any Wray promotions redundant to need and lay them off.
I’m sure the shredders are working overtime in the J. Edgar Hoover building.
May this guy get the type of treatment pedo’s get in prison.

If true, Wray is really stupid ....even moreso than we previously knew. All Wray is doing is showing Trump & Team who to fire first. (Thanks, Christopher!).
Thx for the education. Makes sense.
Problem is the civil servant act that prevents firing of entrenched people that need firing.
It is not the sophomoric wisecracks, the petty bickering, or over-heated news ejaculations which make FR a welcome visit. But it is because for the overlooked bits of reasoned opinions. Contributions such as yours.
