Democratic Reps. Andy Kim, D-N.J., and Adam Schiff, D-Calif., are scheduled to be sworn-in as U.S. senators on Monday after their placeholders George Helmy and Laphonza Butler resigned last week.
Schiff won the seat of longtime Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who died last year. Kim won the seat that was vacated by former Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J. He resigned after he was convicted on federal bribery charges.
Their first formal vote in the Senate is expected to be on the confirmation of four district judges, according to Politico.
The new Congress convenes on Jan. 3.
They are going to swear in these two and confirm every Democrat judicial nominee that is pending. If things were in reverse, the media would be screaming that nominees shouldn't be confirmed since the "people have spoken" and want the next President to fill these judicial seats.
We will try just as hard to work with you as you did to work with us on issues that are important to us.
Have these Reps resigned from their positions in the House?
The only thing this affects is seniority within the rat caucus in the Senate. The dems still worship the seniority system. The Republicans respect it, but since Contract With America days have been much more open to shuffling chairmanships.
Andy Kim?
He was great in the 1970s though

The worm has turned, transgender Democrats......
A tear....it’s like a baby is born and an old mother dies down the hall.
Sleaziest Ever Schumer is near death, Sleaziest Rising Star Schiff is being birthed into the senate.
...the confusion sets in...

A favorite back then
The lengths they go thru to circumvent the law is astounding.
Democratic Reps. Andy Kim, D-N.J., and Adam Schiff, D-Calif.
Proof that the east and west coasts have went to rot when it comes to electing sane leaders.
The water must be bad.
I look forward to when he will be sworn in to testify for his trial.
